Governor Phil Murphy today signed a joint resolution (AJR98) designating January 30 of each year as âFred Korematsu Day of Civil Liberties and the Constitution in New Jersey.â The day of recognition honors the legacy of Fred Korematsu, an American civil rights activist of Japanese heritage who fought against the wrongful incarceration of Japanese Americans during World War II on Monday, January 30, 2023(Edwin J. The ISSA Regional Social Security Forum for Africa will took in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 23 to 25 October 2017, at the invitation of the Public Servants Social Security Agency (PSSSA) of Ethiopia.

The ISSA Certificate of Excellence is based on an independent external evaluation of the application of the ISSA Guidelines for Social Security Administration. Certificates were attributed to the Pension Fund of Morocco, the National Social Insurance Fund of Cameroon and the National Social Insurance Fund of Madagascar.

Forty-Three Soldiers, one Airman and four Civilians were honored and awarded at the 1st Annual U.S. Army Hawaii Food Service Recognition Dinner April 22 at the Nehelani Club on Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.

The awards were presented for the categories of The Order of St. Martin, Culinary Arts Team Competition and Philip A. Connelly Awards American Chef Federation Certification.

The troop held a court of honor and recognition dinner at the local VFW in February 1986.

2015 Women's Recognition Lunch

It's Employee Recognition Week at work and Tory Hargro, Kevin Spear and I were awarded Best Multimedia of 2007 for our piece on Col. Mike McCoy today. The finalists were determined in-house, and the winner was chosen by a series of judges outside the paper, but within the Tribune network.

What the judges (Bobby Roessner, Managing Editor of the Hartford Courant; Kerry Luft, Associate Managing Editor for Foreign News at the Chicago Tribune; Calvin Lawrence, former Associate Managing Editor for national, international and state news at Newsday) had to say: "The Sentinel could have served up Col. McCoy as another humdrum anniversary story. Instead, the staff stitched together a remarkable interactive experience that was both a history lesson and a prime example of online journalism's scope and uniqueness."

It's nice getting recognition for projects into which you put a lot of blood and sweat.
