A smaller accurated version

Free step-by-step instructions for the Ingenuity Helicopter can be downloaded at Rebrickable. The site also includes a parts list and useful links for purchasing them.

This model has also been posted to LEGO Ideas. If it gathers enough support, it may be turned into an official LEGO set!

Ingenuity is a technology demonstrator that aims to be the first rotorcraft to operate on another planet. It is part of the Mars 2020 mission that will deliver the Perseverance Rover to the surface of the Red Planet on February 18, 2021. Ingenuity’s mission will begin 60 to 90 Martian days (62 to 93 Earth days) after the Perseverance lands on Mars. Once deployed from the belly of the Rover, the mission will last 30 Martin days (31 Earth days). During this time, Ingenuity will make up to five autonomous flights with increasing range and complexity.

I've made some small updates to my Midi scale Republic Gunship. It now has a slightly more accurate front, a higher cockpit, it's 10% smaller and cheaper (27cm long, around £45 to build) and has new rocket launchers on top. Instructions for the LAAT are on Rebrickable, link below or on my profile.

As always all the parts are all common and it’s a pretty strong build, even with the open crew area it’ll stand up to some swooshing. The bubble turrets can be added/removed easily and the doors adapted to close over the arms. There's also an angled stand included and a teeny tiny BARC speeder, for those of you who are more into your Phase 2 galactic warfare.

Version 2 instructions are now available, along with some new colours; 501st blue, 212th orange, Muunilinst 10, Corsicana Guard and Ahsoka's 332nd.

Sturdy, rugged, fast - The Ol' Pelican is an old fishing vessel the pirates Clint and Longsocks rely on for smaller expeditions as well as the odd fishing trip. Being a pirate, Clint has equiped the boat with two swivel guns, leading to the Ol' Pelican packing more of a punch than one might expect.

As my exploration of Prequel ships continues, I'm trying to shift my focus to Minifig-scale more, and decided to give a crack at Obi-Wan's sleek Delta-7 from Episode II: Attack of the Clones.

At exactly 400 pieces, this compact and angular ship was full of technical challenges, especially with the constraint of making a proper interior that could accommodate a full Obi-Wan Minifigure without ending up with a bulky design.

Following my "wings must be as thin as possible" philosophy (like the Eta-2), I used a combination of plates & tiles for the outline of the wings, and bricks on their sides for the rest: this resulted in 2-plate thick wings, which give the ship all its slenderness, especially seen from lower angles. At this scale, and given how compact the ship is in-universe, I wanted to respect the slim and sharp look of the original design.

Making a functional cockpit with comfortable space was the most daunting task as I needed to securely attach the fin section and both angled fuselage parts that surround the cockpit without using any vertical space, where Obi-Wan sits. I also managed to incorporate a dashboard that doesn't obstruct the pilot's view and depicts the screen fairly well.

The model features detachable landing gear to be displayed on the ground, as well as a canted stand for a more dynamic pose. The model is very stable overall and perfectly swooshable.

Instructions for the Delta-7 are available on Rebrickable!

This is my take on The Liberator from the Star Wars Rebels animated series. Its the same scale as my other micro Star Wars ships (I aim for 1:250), 59cm long, 1903 pieces weighing 1.6kg, but still very strong and easy to pick up.

I've tried my hardest to make all the sections proportionally correct and as detailed as possible. Most of the ship is made from modules connected to a Technic frame, inside of which is the ship's multi-layered interior (not to the same scale, its just a bit of fun!), topped by removable roof sections.

This was the last and by far the biggest ship on my micro Star Wars to-do list and I'm really pleased with how it turned out! Its the same scale as everything else I've labelled 'micro' so I'll try to take some group and maybe battle photos of lots of them together soon. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy the little space ships :)

Updated my minifig-scale droideka for the premiere of Episode I 25 years ago, May 16th, in Los Angeles and for the Eurobricks contest. I redesigned the head, which was the weakest element of the previous design; its eye-sensors are more accurate now. It's the same height as the B2 next to it, so perfect minifig scale. Can be rebuilt into a ball, which while not a perfect sphere, will roll. But I mainly focused on how the display looks unrolled. It also fits in the shield I designed for them, so I will be updating that MOC with new photos soon.

Here are my micro stat fighters from the amazing Star Wars Rebels show! F From the top going clockwise we have the Mining Guild's yellow TIE Fighter, the TIE Defender Prototype, the Mandalorian Fang Fighter, the R-22 Spearhead (or in my case, just an A-Wing!), Ryder Azadi's U-Wing, Hyera Syndulla's X-Wing, the Inquisitor's TIE Advanced Prototype and in the centre Quarrie's Blade Wing (prototype B-Wing). Display stand for the 75348 Tie Fighter. I built mine in grey because that's what I had on hand, and I didn't build the smaller ring. I have had it displayed for a couple months it is stable, and it doesn't sag forward much. The bottom wings will slightly slip off the technic axle, but wont fall off. The 2x2 round plate is a replacement for a 2x2 plate under the bottom plate of the Tie witch you will have to replace with the 2x2 round tile to properly display the Tie.

This was my first X-Wing (at the age of 31, why did I wait so long??) and my first effort at modding a set too. Back then I took a load of photos and agonised over how to keep track of my changes, discovered Studio and a huge new addiction :).

This is my tribute to the classic LEGO Pirates sets I dreamt of as a child.

I wanted to keep the aesthetic and the charm of those sets, but to use some modern, advanced building techniques as well. So I went for the hexagonal shape with lots of building on a side ;)

Despite its unusual geometry, it can open up (it splits in half) to reveal interior detail (soon I will post more photos showcasing them).

If you're an AFOL LEGO Pirates fan, please, check out the instructions on my Rebrickable ;)

This LEGO brick-built action figure of Corrin's younger brother and prince of Hoshido has authentic articulation with its many joints, plus accesories like Takumi's divine Fujin Yumi with parts included to change it to the cursed bow Skadi, as well as trans-purple parts to change Takumi into his possessed form!

I think he's my new all-time favorite of all the figures MOCs I built, because of the detail in his kimono and how awesome he looks wielding Fujin Yumi!

The Liberator started as an nice idea for an alternative colour scheme but after rewatching Rebels quickly turned into my Blockade Runner of choice! I’ve made it an equal option alongside my Tantive IV on Rebrickable, the builds are only subtly different (apart from the colours), in my opinion this one is much better looking :)

Instructions are on Rebrickable, I’ve build this ship for myself so I’ll post photos of this along with other micro ships soon!

This little group started with the modified TIE Bomber. I added surface detail to this ship as well as a more interesting bomb loading and dropping mechanism and space for the gonk droid in the pilot-side of the hull. The TIE Fighter and Vader's TIE Advanced are built to match the proportions and scale of the Bomber, using the same cockpit style. They can be built invididually but my intention was that they're a modification of the Bomber set, with only £10 of extra parts needed in addition to 75347.
