I've made some small updates to my Midi scale Republic Gunship. It now has a slightly more accurate front, a higher cockpit, it's 10% smaller and cheaper (27cm long, around £45 to build) and has new rocket launchers on top. Instructions for the LAAT are on Rebrickable, link below or on my profile.

As always all the parts are all common and it’s a pretty strong build, even with the open crew area it’ll stand up to some swooshing. The bubble turrets can be added/removed easily and the doors adapted to close over the arms. There's also an angled stand included and a teeny tiny BARC speeder, for those of you who are more into your Phase 2 galactic warfare.
Version 2 instructions are now available, along with some new colours; 501st blue, 212th orange, Muunilinst 10, Corsicana Guard and Ahsoka's 332nd.

A view from the rear showing the detailed tower interiors and gatehouse. I'm particularly happy with the detailing of the interior of Warlock's tower - pickled monster head included!

I tried my hand at Volvo's construction truck, the FMX. This time I went for a smaller scale, 1:45 which should be around minifigure scale.
The model features articulated suspension, allowing for some excellent posing and the bucket can be raised. For the rest it is really a display model. Note the detailed exhaust aftertreatment system closely resembling the real thing.
I'm considering building some other Volvo models in this scale though I anticipate an FH to be quite the challenge.
I've uploaded building instructions at ReBrickable.

- Instructions: EUR 19.99
- Cost to build: ca. EUR 275,-
Check out: Rebrickable.

- Rear hatch can be opened
- Compartments for speeders

- Adjustable cannons
Credit for the original artwork / fan design goes to EC Henry 😍.
The instructions have been made by Ron McPhatty, and he has again paid a lot of attention to the parts, which means the build is affordable despite of its size. He also came up with some great techniques 👌.
Shout outs:
First and foremost, EC Henry for the original fanwork modelling and Angelos Karderinis who did the fanwork rendering. Secondly, Ron McPhatty for his work on the instructions 🙏.
Love to hear what you think and Happy Holidays ⛄.
I’ve finally gotten around to taking some photos of my Razor Crest mods! Since all my pictures are on a dull grey background (that’s also getting a bit battered) I thought I’d buy some new card... it turns out buying from a high street shop is the way to go, let’s hope the UK lockdown ends soon before I forgot how to spell subtle!
Instructions for the mod are available here...

The Ash Bear roams the jungle forests of Le-Wahi, the region of Mata Nui home to the Le-Matoran.
This is my take on the generally docile, but occasionally very dangerous orange biomechanical bear from the Bionicle: Mask of Light movie.
If you want to build one yourself, you can! Instructions: rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-231660/Exetrius/ash-bear/#details
(Btw, for some reason Rebrickable gives the orange droid torsos an outrageous price. Compared to what's available on BL that can't be right, right?)
A different view of my Torre Dorada MOC, a tribute to the classic LEGO Pirates sets I dreamt of as a child.
I wanted to keep the aesthetic and the charm of those sets, but to use some modern, advanced building techniques as well. So I went for the hexagonal shape with lots of building on a side ;)
Despite its unusual geometry, it can open up (it splits in half) to reveal interior detail (soon I will post more photos showcasing them).
If you're an AFOL LEGO Pirates fan, please, check out the instructions on my Rebrickable ;)

Was asked for a side view of the roof.
This technique is a bit too cumbersome for my purposes, hopefully someone can use it.

This posable mech-size realistic spacesuit build was inspired by the latest spacesuits being developed in the United States. The spacesuit consists of the pressure garment assembly (PGA, so-called "suit") and Portable Life Support System (PLSS, so-called "backpack"). PGA provides pressure and mobility, while PLSS provides life-supporting functions such as oxygen supply, cooling, and CO2 removal.
Here’s a tiny scene, loosely inspired by the truly crap Battle on Takodana set 75139, but now very small and with vehicles! Kylo Ren’s Shuttle dominates the scene but I’ve also put together a First Order Transport, Resistance Troop Transport and a tiny battle between Finn, Han, Chewie and the Stormtroopers in the ruins, with Poe nailing TIEs above. For completeness I’ve also built a shrunken Maz Kanata’s Castle, before it got destroyed! Instructions are available on Rebrickable, I’ve included the Studio model of the scene to make it easier to build individual parts of the scene... rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-63463/ron_mcphatty/micro-battle-...

I'm back with another Speed Champions MOC of one of (Jeremy Clarkson voice) my favorite cars... in the world: the FD-generation Mazda RX-7 with legendary RE-Amemiya bodykit!

This MOC faithfully captures the elegance of the FD3S RX-7 with the aggressive racing-inspired bodykit by Japanese tuning company RE-Amemiya, made popular from JGTC/Super GT racing and the Initial D series, where Keisuke Takahashi added the bodykit to his FD following the forming of Project D. While it's the same color, this MOC wasn't based directly off Keisuke's car, since this FD wears the "REsuperG" variation of the bodykit which had some differences, mainly fender-mounted mirrors. Being said, I definitely plan on building a Keisuke-spec FD (plus a pre-Project D FD MOC) in the future.
The front and roof area are inspired by Madspacer's Initial D RX-7 FD3S MOC, but otherwise the rest of the model is my own design.
This MOC is built in the Architecture Skyline series and features some of the most iconic locations from the planet Coruscant including:
- The Senate
- The Senate Offices
- The Jedi Temple
- Padme's Apartment
- Dex's Diner
- The Entrance to the Underworld

M52X U Wing Starfighter
Instructions on:

M52X U Wing Starfighter was created by Incom Corporation soon after the original U Wing was created in order to make it fully focused on combat.
And managed to create a Higley versatile Starfighter that is prone to speed and has the capability to fire its laser cannons even behind it when it is chased by enemy fighters.
The firing mods can be automatically done by the droid or manually by the pilot.
The guns can rotate 360dgrs wherever they are pointed. Empire pilots feared the M52X as it could strike from mid-maneuver during combat.
Where were these Starfighters during the Rebellion? Well, Incom Corporation was only able to produce 100 of them as the manufacturing was sabotaged by Palpatine's agents for good reason.
Some of the 100 M52X Starfighters were spotted at the rim of the galaxy, whoever engaged one in combat against a skilled pilot had a small chance of escaping.
The rebellion only got 40 during the war, used only in the most important of assault operations.
The M52X had no landing gear as it was supplied with an antigravity generator that could keep the ship above ground when stationary a similar technology found in N-1 Starfighter.

This is my take on The Liberator from the Star Wars Rebels animated series. Its the same scale as my other micro Star Wars ships (I aim for 1:250), 59cm long, 1903 pieces weighing 1.6kg, but still very strong and easy to pick up.
I've tried my hardest to make all the sections proportionally correct and as detailed as possible. Most of the ship is made from modules connected to a Technic frame, inside of which is the ship's multi-layered interior (not to the same scale, its just a bit of fun!), topped by removable roof sections.
This was the last and by far the biggest ship on my micro Star Wars to-do list and I'm really pleased with how it turned out! Its the same scale as everything else I've labelled 'micro' so I'll try to take some group and maybe battle photos of lots of them together soon. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy the little space ships :)
