Scaling down the droideka to accurate minifig-scale opened up the possibility of using the 8x8 Windscreen Domes, which are the largest windscreen domes, as the iconic force-fields of the droideka. With the droideka standing at 6 studs, 8x8 is the perfect size sphere to envelope the droid correctly. Embedding it into the ground proved to be quite the tricky challenge actually, as I wanted the ground internally to match the external ground level, and also have a tight fit around the shield, which much to my surprise is 1 plate not spherical as the domes aren't actually perfect semi-spheres. This lead to a ring and inner ring that doesn't have a top or bottom, as the studs on it face up in 4 different directions like the blades of a windmill, and an interesting and fun internal build to match up all the turns and offsets.
The floor was also a tricky component of the build, as the curvature of the domes at the low point is pretty high so even a 2 plate thick design would have pushed the ground up too high.
Happy with the end result as gaps are almost exclusively the thickness of the shield itself and it works well from any angle.

This model was heavily inspired by a Checker Taxicab build I found on Rebrickable by Labronco Brick Designs. (This builder had reverse engineered the taxi from the LEGO City Undercover video game) I changed the model around a lot to create a '50s police car. This car isn't based on anything specific, but it does get the general "look" of the stereotypical 1950s police car correct, from the single red 'gumball' light on top to the streamlined styling.
You can see the original builder's model (alongside a whole bunch of other cool cars from the game) here: rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-32951/Labronco%20Brick%20Designs...

This is based on the R34 that I uploaded the other day.
My alternate 76901 RX-7 FD was my happiest build last year and this is probably my happiest build this year, more so because both this cars were involved in the most epic scene in Initial D Stage 4, where Hoshino's R34 overtook Keisuke at the traffic cone as the race transitioned from uphill to downhill battle. It's simply the most stunning, most jaw-dropping overtake in Initial D.
I think I'm gonna get another set so that I could build both cars to build that scene one day.

I wanted to build a Joker bust for quite some time but my biggest inspiration and motivation to start came from Julian Santiago's amazing 3D artwork of Bruce Timm's Joker and the Endgame version of the character.
Based on, fig-000113 Minifigurine - Ice Planet 2002 male.
There are few small parts of Trans-neon-orange colors. I managed to find 3 underused parts, which match the theme, to make the visor and antenna.

The Y-45 armored transport hauler, also known as AT-hauler, built by Kuat Drive Yards and used for the Galactic Empire, with its very agressive and intimidating design, was a great Midi-scale challenge.
Accurately Microfig-scaled (or trophy-scaled), and made of 623 pieces, this MOC features all the typical angles and details of the original cargo ship: agressive cockpit shape, intricate wing angles, lower bridge with its guard-rails and stairs, ion engines and magnetic clamps, holding on a single, secure Lego stand.
With very simple connections, both arms can be installed upwards to put the ship in landing mode.

Here is my 1436 piece, 36cm long, proportionally accurate (hopefully, for the most part) Razor Crest.
I used Hasbro’s super detailed Haslab Razor Crest model as a reference to try and create a moc as accurate as possible and I’m quite pleased with how it’s come out.
I also designed an angled stand for it that slots in and out of the underside of the ship and it comes with detachable landing gear, fully functional side and rear doors and… a tiny little Mando and Grogu waiting inside.

My Midi-Scale TIE collection expands again with a new TIE starfighter: the TIE Striker from Rogue One.
Made of 730 pieces, this TIE Striker features a fully SNOT surface, a smooth cockpit section, and includes blaster cannons below the cockpit. Design-wise, this ship really felt like a natural continuation of my previous TIE Reaper MOC.
Although being almost Minifig-scaled, (hence the Midi-scale) this ship obviously doesn't have any interior due to the techniques used and small space allowed for the internal structure.
Due to the front-heavy nature of the design, a rather long (but very simple) stand had to be made in order for the ship to remain perfectly steady and horizontal.
The overall build is pleasantly sturdy for a display model and can be moved around easily.
Instructions for the TIE Striker are available at Rebrickable!
Just some photos of the ships now that I’ve built one, and sprayed the Nubian silver! It’s a simple vinyl dye, the kind of paint you use on fake leather car upholstery, but it soaks into the Lego and gives a durable finish. I wish I’d remembered to spray the N1 Starfighter before I ran out of paint, maybe next time. Instructions for the Nubian, Infiltrator and N1 are on Rebrickable... rebrickable.com/users/ron_mcphatty/mocs/
