We watched the roof all summer to see if it leaked and it did not. Of course when our fall rains began pelting down reality set it and we needed to do a temp patch job. Some spare shingles and extra pond liner will work and not go to waste when no longer needed for the patch.

I had a thought today.
When you set out to accomplish something, but you don't succeed (and its very possible it was due to being completely out of your hands) does that make you a failure?
..I'm thinking not, it just wasn't meant to be.

Grief-stricken brother. Cameron (group member) took this shot by laying down on the ground in the front of the subject and angling the camera up. There were two halogen lights pointed at the subject, the overhead light in the room, as well as the natural light coming in through the windows.
When Dave took us to see the cliffs we would be climbing - reality set in and most wondered if they could do it. Only two of the boys had rappelled before.
I’ve worked long hours here in New Orleans spending most of my life in hot kitchens saving little by little with the dream of one day creating more financial stability. Like many people I was fascinated by the promise of cryptocurrency. Stories of rapid growth and extraordinary returns were everywhere. When I encountered what appeared to be a seasoned investment advisor with a sleek website and persuasive communication I felt as though I had finally found my chance. Convinced of his legitimacy I invested $18,000. The advisor’s polished demeanor and apparent credibility gave me confidence that this was the right decision. I imagined how those returns could change my life and perhaps offer me opportunities outside the long demanding hours of the kitchen. But within weeks my excitement crumbled into anxiety. The promised updates never came and my inquiries went unanswered. Eventually the advisor vanished completely. That was the moment the crushing reality set in. I had been defrauded. The loss left me devastated. Beyond the financial blow I carried shame and regret questioning how I could have been so easily deceived. I felt stranded with no idea where to turn until I discovered FOLKWIN EXPERT RECOVERY. Though skeptical I reached out desperate for any possibility of reclaiming what I had lost. From the first conversation their team stood out. They were transparent, patient and professional. They explained their process clearly, answered every question and most importantly treated my case with genuine care. Even so I worried the effort would be in vain. My funds had been routed through multiple wallets and exchanges designed to bury every trace. Yet the FOLKWIN EXPERT RECOVERY team refused to give up. Their expertise in blockchain forensics and their persistence were extraordinary. They kept me updated throughout and slowly they began to piece together the tangled trail of my stolen money. After weeks of work I received news I never thought possible. They had successfully recovered $15,500 of my original $18,000. Relief washed over me. Although I had not regained every dollar, recovering the majority of my funds felt like a true victory. Thank you FOLKWINEXPERTRECOVERY@TECH-CENTER(.)COM , What's-App: +1 (740)-705-0711, Website: folkwinexpertsrecovery.com for restoring most of my savings.

I went back to work today after a not-long-enough vacation. I went back to a neglected garden, a sink full of dirty tint bowls and there was an accident with the wax so I found myself on my hands and knees scraping it off the floor. *sigh*
(You owe me for that one Yvette)
You know, other than that, I like what I do so much, it never feels like work.
It was a dark day - even though the sun was shining and the sky was blue. The world turned gray, but as the reality set in, we joined as a nation and raised our flags to proudly proclaim we would not be cowered by terrorists.
This broken off branch looks like a bear looking around the tree in certain light. The effect isn't the same with a closer shot. Reality sets in when this is viewed from a different angle and distance.

The sign I wish I wouldn't have seen!
When I got to Estes Park the light was really starting to fade and I just wanted to get out and get some pics before the snow that was already falling, started getting heavier.
So I found a place I saw on the map and knew was close to Bear Lake and got out of the car. After spending little bit there, I ventured up a trail and was really thinking I should probably head back to the car. But then the SIGN APPEARED.
I ended following that sign towards Bear Lake. Which lead not to Bear Lake, but to ANOTHER sign. This second sign said it was another 2.4mi. The feeling of "well, I've come this far, might as well keep going" and the counter feeling "you're crazy, it'll be dark before you get there and you'll still have to walk back" were the two things going through my head.
I walked another mile and a quarter I suppose before reality set in and I...had to turn back. Walked probably 3mi and never got anywhere. I ended up driving there and even that seemed like a long drive with 90 degree switchbacks up steep terrain.
Err, STUPID SIGN!
Had discussed with Libby the possibility of waking up early and getting some sunrise shots before the holiday, but when we got there reality set in.
On the last night I woke up at about 4 and looked out the window and saw this! Tried a few different shutter speeds and lenses.

Anyone that has glanced through Chanel’s Pre Fall 2012 collection will agree that it has India written all over it. However, Karl Lagerfeld has never stepped foot in India. "It's much more inspiring not to go to places”, he quoted. The mind has more room to fantasize when dreaming about the unknown. Once everything is seen, reality sets in. Here are my fantasies of pre fall collections fitted into places I have always been fond of.

At first glance my mind was going to "if only I could get these buildings out of the view". Then the reality set in that if it weren't for the development of this area, I wouldn't have this view at all. Aaarrrggghhhhhh!!!
