The reacTable is a state-of-the-art multi-user electro-acoustic music instrument with a tabletop tangible user interface. Several simultaneous performers share complete control over the instrument by moving physical artefacts on the table surface and constructing different audio topologies in a kind of tangible modular synthesizer or graspable flow-controlled programming language.

Last week we gave two teams of Theatremakers from the Open Exchange Network the opportunity to create a piece of work at the Exchange. It’s a chance for them to explore and develop the way they make work. Using the illustrated children’s book THE RED TREE by Shaun Tan as inspiration, the focus of this REACT is to create an age specific piece for children aged 10 and under. #RXREACT

A 54-year-old Norridge man was cited for not stopping at a stop sign and causing a two-vehicle crash Sunday near Harvard, police said.

The crash occurred about 3 p.m. Sunday at O'Brien and Alden roads, McHenry County Sheriff's Deputy Sandra Rogers said.

A Toyota Camry driven by Konstadinos Sakoufakis was traveling east on O'Brien Road when Sakoufakis failed to stop at a stop sign at Alden Road, Rogers said. A Lexus RX 350 that was traveling south on Alden Road crashed into the driver's side door of the Camry, she said.

Sakoufakis was trapped in his car, and it took 15 minutes for the Hebron-Alden-Greenwood Fire Protection District to free him, Rogers said. He later was cited for not stopping.

Sakoufakis was flown by REACT to Mercy Hospital in Rockford, and the driver of the Lexus was taken to Mercy Health Hospital and Medical Center - Harvard. Both had injuries that were not life-threatening, Rogers said.

On Saturday, Conor had a shoot for React What! clothing. I tagged along to help him out with lighting and different positioning of the models and took some random shots of my own. Check out his set at - www.flickr.com/photos/conorkeller/sets/72157619415045864/
