Visiting London for some pre-Christmas spirit is something I have been doing for many years continuously but to my luck it hadn’t snowed during my visits expect for this year. To my luck it only snowed lightly, so yes!…Despite the rain showers and snow I still have a lot of outfits to show you.
As mentioned before I love investing in carry-over classic items when it comes to high end brands. Today I was wearing my classic Marni lace-ups. If you’re a fan of brogues-style shoes then you will love those. They’re not exactly brogues as they don’t have the decorative perforations or broguing but they’re simply brogues-shoe shaped with the same lace-ups. That’s for the shoe. Now the accessory on top…the lace-up fringe. The Marni lace-up fringe piece can be changed to your liking…mine is white here as the white fringe comes with the burgundy shoe but I have a few fringe colors ordered on their way already!
I styled the shoes with my white Sophie Rue shorts, a Topshop shirt, Markus Lupfer (x Linda Farrow) shades and the classic Python Lulu Guinness clutch.
Shirt: Topshop
Sunglasses Markus Lupfer
Shorts: Sophie Rue
Clutch: Lulu Guinness
Shoes: Marni

Ralph Waldo Emerson. The happiest man is he who learns from nature the lesson of worship.
Lucius Annaeus Seneca: On entering a temple we assume all signs of reverence. How much more reverent then should we be before the heavenly bodies, the stars, the very nature of God!
John Muir: All the wild world is beautiful, and it matters but little where we go, to highlands or lowlands, woods or plains, on the sea or land or down among the crystals of waves or high in a balloon in the sky; through all the climates, hot or cold, storms and calms, everywhere and always we are in God's eternal beauty and love. So universally true is this, the spot where we chance to be always seems the best.
We’re here are looking for shadows today. While this isn’t a crisp shadow this is a plain white wall with multiple shadows from the Christmas tree lights & branches being cast on it.
Today in We're Here!, we're learning new things with the theme of "I didn't know that"... and well... here we go.
This is a photo of Taso Stavrakis that I took during the 2012 season of the Bristol Renaissance Faire. Taso plays the Sir Ewain, Earl of Essex for the Hanlon-Lees Action Theater. He has said of this photo that he didn't plan it, but obviously he saw me. Anyway, here are a couple of little-known facts...
Taso Stavrakis was the first human incarnation of Captain Morgan in an ad campaign of the famous rum. He was offered the role of Jason Voorhees in the original "Friday the 13th" movie, but declined because he wanted to work with his good friend- Tom Savini- on the special effects crew.
There's a scene in the original "Friday the 13th" where Kevin Bacon's character is being impaled with an arrow through a cot. In real life, Tom and Taso were under the bunk, Tom pushing the arrow through the fake-Kevin body, while Real Kevin's head was above him, reacting to being killed. Taso was wedged under the bunk with Tom and Real Kevin's body and he was working the blood pump. Something malfunctioned in the pump and Taso disconnected the hose and forcefully blew through it, causing the dramatic blood spray that made it into the movie. (fun bonus fact- there's a scene with the closeup of the killer's hands. Those are, in fact, Taso's hands, as the closeup had to be re-shot and the actor in question was gone for the reshoot).
NOW- the title reference. Six degrees. I can win any game of Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon because of my association with Taso. I met and worked with Taso at the Bristol Renaissance Faire in 2012. Taso worked with Kevin Bacon in "Friday the 13th"... boom! I win! I'm one degree away from Kevin Bacon. (before meeting Taso, though, my winning move was to connect John Wayne to Kevin Bacon).
Also- a better print version of this photo is on my

Unplug - balance - reconnect.

I re-vamped an old 'Morgan' skirt & a 'Miss Selfridge' sequin dress that I bought from the car boot sale for 50 pennies each & here's what I came up with.
Maybe I'm alone on this one but I can't stand any foodstuffs to be shaped like animals or have faces ... even in real-scale. This one went on the auction block stat!
The error in this Fred's release was that he had no License plate decal.
