One of the biggest allures to watching the Royal Canadian Air Force Snow Birds fly is the number of jets they fly. It makes for some incredible nine plane burst sequences.

every spring we are treated to the arrival of our fabulous Canadian Forces 431 Air Demonstration Squadron, the SNOWBIRDS are Canada's military aerobatics or air show flight demonstration team whose purpose is to demonstrate the skill, professionalism, and teamwork of Canadian Forces personnel . . . for two weeks they practice maneuvers before taking the "show on the road" . . . which means we are treated to these practice runs!! Spring is definitely in the air! 😍
Snowbird #9 had not caught up to the rest of the planes yet!
Officially known as the Royal Canadian Air Force's 431 Air Demonstration Squadron, the Snowbirds are Canada's military aerobatics or air show flight demonstration team whose purpose is to "demonstrate the skill, professionalism, and teamwork of Canadian Forces personnel".

In October 2017 Gowen Field (the airport in Boise) hosted Gowen Thunder air show. It was a fun event with a number of aerial performances. The first show of the day was the Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds. The Canadians use the CT-114 Tutor aircraft. The show was pretty impressive, unfortunately I missed the beginning of the show due to the shuttle confusion. Bummer - but it was still worth going to.
I took these photos at Gowen Field in Boise, Idaho in October 2017.
The Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds, also known as the 431 Air Demonstration Squadron, performed at the Arctic Thunder airshow at Elmendorf AFB, Anchorage, Alaska in July 2010. This was the first time I saw the Snowbirds and I was quite impressed - they put on an excellent show. I believe the planes they fly are CT-114 Tutors. Great show - check them out in person if you can!
