These are the TE37 SL’s in Pressed Graphite! Featuring a graphite face with polished lips and black inner barrels. This is one of my favorite wheel colors irl. A lot of my future wheels will feature this color as well.
The wheel irl has polished hubs to match the lips, but I didn’t replicate that as I didn’t want to print multi-color. I experimented using a silver sharpie to color the hubs, which turned out kinda cool. I forgot to do that on this set, but that’s okay! I can do that in the future, because I’ve already made some revisions for a new version of these wheels. I just need to find the time to reprint them.
I also want to make some revisions to the car in general, but for now I updated the doors with the new wedge tiles.
Full reveal of my Rx7 with Volk TE37 SL's! Speced out with Face 3 and staggered lips, creating a deeper dish look for the rear. I'm excited to actually create deep dish wheels in the future. It will also be cool to see these wheels in a different color. More pics tomorrow!

TE the world!
Of course, my first custom wheel had to be everyone's favorite, TE37's! And for good reason. This wheel design is simply timeless and works on just about any car.
Creating custom 3d printed wheels is a goal I had for this year, and I am really proud of the progress I made. I first learned how to use Fusion by following the "Fusion 360 in 30 days" series by @productdesignonline. It covers a lot of tools, and it was enough for me to make my very own design from scratch. I wasn't sure if I wanted to invest in a 3d printer immediately, so I got these printed at my local library. I have made two prototypes so far, which is why you see them in white and grey. They're not perfect, which is why I am excited to get my own 3d printer soon!
Closing this off, I just want to say that you really can do anything that you put your mind to, even if it's something completely new. And when it aligns with your interests, that makes it even more fun ;)
What's that I see? Custom brake rotors!
After creating custom wheels and tires, I couldn't forget the last details. I tested using various Lego pieces for the rotors, but I didn't find anything that I really liked. So, I had to make my own. For my first design, I made these slotted, but I can of course create other rotor designs.
For the calipers, I really wanted to stick with a Lego piece, so I can use their colors. I tried so many pieces. I tested the curved 1x2 jumper, but it was too big. I saw @3dsupercarbricks use the claw piece which is really clever, but it would have been tough to attach to the rotors. I then found the ingot piece, which is what I am using. I like how it has a taper at the top of each corner, which gives it a rounder look. It's not the perfect representation of a caliper, but I am happy with how it looks.
The size of the rotor and caliper fit really well into the wheel. However, I'm thinking of future compatibility with other wheels, so I'm going to test fitting smaller rotors.

ou already know the Supra had to also get the TE37 treatment.
These are the same exact wheels I have in my previous pictures with the RX7, but this time, with custom tires! This wheel size suits the Supra much better. And if you look closely, I also made some custom brake rotors. More on that in the next post.
I think the white wheels contrast very well with the dark blue, but there's another colorway that is my favorite. I bought some new filament and am working on dialing it in before printing them out. What do you think the colorway is?
