In this picture I increased the recovery, increased the fill light, and increased the clarity. This made the picture have more detail.
I sharpened the contrast to heighten the colors more, as well as upping the exposure, blurring the background, and changing the hue a bit.
remember when we made pasta and had to hang it in the closet to dry, for lack of a better place? this reminds me of that.
I was very experimental with this photo. In Photoshop, I accented the tree roots with bluish hues and made the thin pine tree leaves (?) on the ground more vibrant. Obviously the sky is tremendously overexposed (somewhat intended) although I changed it from a original pure white to a light bluish color.
A Lilliputian is a human being less than six inches tall from the book Gulliver's Travels, and I was trying to capture the perspective of the ground from that height.
This image was under exposed so that the middle region was losing detail and the top part of the picture was very dark. I increased the exposure one stop.
originally shot at f4, 1/180s., ISO 200.
I stopped down 1 and 1/3 stops in Lightroom to bring back detail in the sky and not lose detail in the bark of the tree.
