I was able to bring out detail in the water. But I'm having trouble with the sky being blown out. Suggestions?
A construction site features a conveyor belt moving gravel into a large pile. The overcast sky adds a muted atmosphere to the busy activity of the site.
I was able to bring out the detail in the stone wall, which was previously very dark, due to underexposure.
Add a plastic wrap filter, because made the bokehs look more interesting. I did not edit the stick in focus.
I masked the ears and the front of the book and used the Channel Mixer to convert the image to black and white.
Are we really going to use all that stuff? This shot shows all the pallets of materials, and the pile of limestone fill in the distance.

White Balance: I corrected the white balance on this photo to try and cut out some of the yellow glare from the lights and make the colors truer to life.

F-4, 50 mm prime lens, 1/759, ISO 100. When shooting this white flower, I was trying avoid blowing out the highlights and ended up slightly underexposing the whole image as a result. Opened in in RAW and opened up the exposure by .85 which brought back a bit of the detail in the dark green leaves and the petals in the shaded areas, but retained the detail in the brightest petals.
