Fine silver band. This setting was fairly simple, but I'm so excited about the way it turned out!

February 1, 2011
despite the winter storm hitting the midwest, its is warm and rainy, very spring-like, here on the VA coast. it is supposed to get up to 70 today. I'll take it...its February after all. Tomorrow its supposed to be back to a normal 29 degrees.
Yup it’s me. It’s not that easy to photograph yourself laughing. I ended up listening to some Danny Bhoy comedy routines and snappy wildly while I reacted to what I was hearing.
I like to laugh and really do feel that if you can’t laugh at most things, then it is a bit of a sad world. I control situations through humour, which I do need to be conscious of as it can become an avoidance tactic for me if situations are uncomfortable.
I guess also, my love laughter is one of the reasons I did this particular project! I hope people are enjoying the laughs and the site in general.

52Laughs.com will document in photograph, a laugh a week for a whole year. Each week a different person and a different laugh.
Laughs are infectious. Laughs make you feel better and that things are ok. Laughing relieves stress and creates a sense of wellbeing. Everyone’s laugh is different and everyone’s laugh captures an element of their personality.
The series will be published online at 52laughs.com and at the end a book made to celebrate the result.
My little kitchen helper.
I'm not sure if he liked this after all...
I love garlic! I was making pasta sauce, you need lots of garlic for that...

First time doing this. I spent 10 mins and wish i had a couple of hours to play with it.
First thing i worked on was smoothing out the skin and cleaning up (the very few) blemishes. Then i popped her eyes (maybe a bit too much). I use a couple of saturation layers for her dress and her lips and a bit of work on her hair.
Great model!
Reclining Buddha, Wat Pho. This Buddha is 160 feet long and it is almost impossible to photograph the entire length so I went for some head shots.
