painted as an experimental piece, just practicing some techniques for a larger piece - havn't picked up a paint brush for a while, so was good to make some marks. stencil was painted using old-fashioned method of stippling paint through the stencil using a brush...
Not done yet, but this is the basic idea. After the truck caught fire at a burnout contest last fall (which I missed documenting; I heard the combustion was pretty spectacular), it was time to repaint. Hopefully hereafter, black flames will be the only ones engulfing his ride.

I don't know what this is based on, perhaps a Model T Ford,but is powered by a good-sized Chevrolet engine. The owner makes frequent subtle changes to the appearance of this rat rod.
