This home built rat rod was a mish-mosh of rusty parts with a giant blown big block mill, but it did have a nice lime gold metalflake firewall.
The grille emblem says Maxim Motor Company, Middleboro, Mass. Other than that, it's anybodys guess as to what this huge truck is.

We just pulled over and Dave drooled over the sign and truck and I took the picture. His father use to run a Sinclair station when he was young.
A friend of mine, a man I served with, built this pickup from the frame up. We've been talking about me doing a photoshoot on it for just the pure fun of it. Just after Christmas he called and said a Rat rod Magazine wanted to feature his "El Grinch" and said they would have a photographer come out and do the shoot. He told the editor he had a guy lined up for February. The wife and I drove out to El Paso to get it done. The March Edition of Piston Highway has taken a few of my photos and has published them. This just blows me away. These are just two of the images from the whole layout. I hope you all like them. The builder Russ is a 20-year retired Sergeant First Class and I am damn proud to have had the privilege to have served with him.

Three bracketed photos were taken with a handheld Nikon D7200 and combined with Photomatix Pro to create this HDR image. Additional adjustments were made in Photoshop CS6.
