SP40178 YT10XCB seen at Petersham working on route 65 towards Kingston, Brook Street.
The Scanias had their days numbered on the 65 which eventually got fully replaced in early Spring. The older Scanias had been withdrawn and sold to operators outside London but the remaining ones do still work primarily on the 71.

FirstGroup return to Transport for London service work after it withdrew back in June 2013...well, they're going to with a longstop date of 30 April 2025. Now, it's February 2025, and we have two buses with First logos, but we currently have no news of whether the deal has been completed.
The irony is - Route E3 was won by London United RATP from Metroline West, the successor of First Centrewest; now the route will be operated by FirstGroup again. TIme is indeed, a circle.

Wrightbus New Bus For London is seen here on Park Lane, Marble Arch, London on Service 148 to Camberwell Green.
BCE47090 LG71DWE seen at Hendon working on route 183 towards Pinner, Love Lane.
Catch up with new buses on the 183 which had been fully converted into BCE eliminating the last of the Scanias in North London.
Still a mix match of BCE which actually the 183s own buses majority are still yet to enter service. BCE47090 is part of the 49 batch, which still is yet to be converted but it's worth noting that it's one of the very few to have a BYD badge instead of the RATP logo on the front.
The Circulator network in Washington, DC is a collection of low-speed, urban services that charge the princely sum of $1 for a ride. Such operating characteristics leaves Circulator as an ideal landscape for battery-electric buses, and so quite a number of such Proterra models can be seen. Here is fleet number 3012, a BE40 model dating from 2017. It is running the Lincoln Memorial routes and is turning from Columbus Circle into Louisiana Avenue NW here. Behind is Washington Union Station.
A First Bus (for a second time!)
After First Bus completed the takeover of RATPdev London, a number of vehicles from First's original operation in the capital were reacquired by the company in an ironic turn.
One such vehicle is SN12 AUA, new to First Centrewest in 2012 for route 23 between Liverpool Street and Westbourne Park. In this fleet, she was numbered DNH39131 and this number would be retained by Tower Transit after the takeover of part of First's operations.
In 2021, RATP Dev and Kelsian (owners of Tower Transit) merged to form RATP Dev Transit London, reducing the presence of Tower Transit's branding. DNH39131 was renumbered to her present number you see here. In September 2023, RATP would take full control of this company only to announce that they would sell the company in December 2024 to FirstGroup.
The sale was completed in February 2025 and as a result, First reacquired this bus along with a few others. Up until this point, RATP had been utilising it on route 414 however after that route was withdrawn the bus was transfered to route 31 which now seems to be the standard allocation.
I find it ironic that TfL would accept a tender to replace more recent B5LHs from Metroline with these 13 year old E400Hs though I imagine they are simply being used as a stopgap until new electric vehicles arrive.
And yes, that is a real internet cafe you see there...
