In Lisbon there are many regatas, as portughese remain true sailors and keep traditions. Here the sail boats pass under the "Ponte sobre o Tejo" ( this bridge is often compared to the one in S. Francisco and has changed names 3 times), it links Lisbon to the South (and to the best beaches).

I was wandering around the garden this morning thinking how boring it is at the moment when I spied this little bug on a blade of grass. It looks like the same type of Harlequin bug that I posted a couple of weeks back but a much less iridescent colour. These are not cropped and were taken with my 75-300 mm and 50 mm lens and the Kenko extension tubes.

What a moment. I was going in my kitchen when..... ha!! I took the "decisive moment".
Andavo in cucina a farmi un caffè dopo aver passato una notte intera a studiare e fotografare. Avevo la fotocamera a tracolla, si prospettava una splendida Alba (infatti, in questi giorni la pubblicherò : ) guardo distrattamente verso la finestra e noto i due piccioncini che amoreggiano tranquilli sul tetto della casa di fronte, proprio sopra il comignolo..... ho fatto una serie di scatti in successione, poi è venuto fuori un bacio!! evidentemente questi due si amano alla follia.

Lower Bond Falls Paulding Michigan. We had to walk a half a mile through deep snow to get to the falls. It was well worth it because we were the only people there. It looked like a glacier with all the blue ice and the water running through it. It was one of the most beautiful sights we have ever seen.

As I looked at the beautifull sea, the white,flowers, seabreeze and all the hope that goes with it , somehow in my mind it came a song by Ray Charles "here we go again" ... in these days of rush happiness and love are to be savoured in the "now" ... taken somewhere in the coast near Lisbon, Portugal.
