The Rape of the Sabine Women, sculpted by Giovanni Bologna, 1583, in the Loggia de Lanzi, just 'good luck' to have the cop car in front of it at the time - taken September 1996, Florence
This is my "accolade" for all Exploitation movies.
Exploitation film is a type of film that is promoted by "exploiting" often lurid subject matter. The term "exploitation" is common in film marketing, used for all types of films to mean promotion or advertising. These films then need something to exploit, such as a big star, special effects, sex, violence, romance, etc. An exploitation film, however, relies heavily on sensationalist advertising and broad and lurid overstatement of the issues depicted, regardless of the intrinsic quality of the film. Very often, exploitation films are of low quality in every sense. However, this has not always been the case. Exploitation films sometimes attract critical attention and cult followings...
As brilliant as Coulter can be, she lacks sound judgment, which is one of many reasons why we should Never Trust Ann Coulter – at ANY Age, at www.coulterwatch.com/never.pdf.
Assuming her “facts” to be true, Coulter marred an otherwise exemplary column on the rapists of the Central Park jogger by invoking the Rape Card yet again. Coulter concluded with these words: “But now de Blasio wants to hold down our legs while the ‘Central Park Five’ rape us, again.” One month earlier, at CPAC, Coulter charged immigrants with rape, exclaiming: “You’re raping me!”
When did the “Central Park Five” rape Ann, how is de Blasio raping her again, and how are immigrants now raping Coulter? [Let’s be clear: only one person was raped and it was not Coulter!]
Coulter, the consummate wordsmith, should know better! Lacking sense and sensibilities, Coulter – again! – diminishes and trivializes the reality of actual rape.
Astonishingly, her column (and a large section in in her book) describes the 1989 rape in question, yet Coulter is inured to the reality of what she describes.

Absolutamente lamentable.

There are two Rapers shops in the backwoods of Murphy, NC. They are essentially convience stores/perpetual yard sales. I have to say that I couldn't think of a less inviting name.
Having spied this place (many times) during the course of the working week finally decided to go and have a look… it was an easy hop over the fence and a breeze to walk into….but what a disappointment ! the place has been raped ! well and truly raped…every bit of cable gone, all the pipework removed. It was just a shell!
Forget my tripod also so ramped up the ISO for some handheld shots…processed the pics to make them look vaguely interesting!
Clearly the neighbours were asleep as this place is overlooked by loads of housing and no-one batted an eyelid when we vaulted back over the fence on the way out…
