Seen Jon Tarifa once before, on a big festival, from a distance...so actually didn't see the band at all really....as I bumped into him a lot while attending another mutual band we like, I had a look at the videoclips on Youtube..it was still as from a distance..alright-ish..

so when I saw that he was going to perform at Zeeheldenfestival, I decided to go as i wanted to have a proper look and listen...see for yourself I always say and live is always more pure...I think...

no regrets there..what an energy and what a happy atmosphere on stage...he found himself surrounded by several international musicians and whow that bass player...Leah masters her bass really well! great sound...

to be short: no regrets...next!!

Jon Tarifa is an international rap artist born in Albania, grew up in the US, and now living in the Netherlands.

Had to post the non-composite stitch version of the individual images!

As some of you may already know, I was given the opportunity to shoot for the NEON iCON... aka; RiFF RAFF -One of the hottest and most successful celebrities and rappers out there right now. I first shot for RiFF RAFF ViP status in Seattle, at Showbox... and I knew I needed to keep going. I then traveled 600 miles to the Knitting Factory, in Spokane, WA, absolutely determined to make a business connection with the man himself, in person.

Meeting the NEON PYTHON was a trip -This dude is real as fuck, sported a $50K NEFF chain around his neck when I met him, and shakes the floor at a solid 250 LBS -He is currently being trained by Hulk Hogan for the WWE. I'm really stoked I had the opportunity to meet him, this guy has been a huge inspiration to me. I shot the event sporting my NEON iCON T and some fresh Jordan Oreo 6's to match it -Had to let Jody know I was a part of NEON NATiON!

For this I used nothing but the Contax 645 and Fujifilm 800Z. After some consultation with the world renound wedding photographer and author of "Film Is Not Dead", Jonathan Canlas, I decided his Lab was the one for the job, and I sent my negatives to The FIND Lab for developing and scanning. Normally I use a Fuji Frontier SP-3000 scanner, however I needed to grab extra shadow detail so I used a Kodak Noritsu scanner for this batch. I gave my film as much light as I could while stopping some motion, and camped at f/2 on the 80mm and stayed between 1/125th and 1/60th shutter. I pushed the film +3 stops, to 6400 ASA. In the future when I shoot for JODY HiGHROLLER, I will be using CineStill 800T paired with Ilford HP5 films, and pushing one stop, or not at all. Fuji 800Z is a very light-hungry film, and I was lucky to get useable images from shooting with it. This particular set of images had to be converted to Black and White, due to under-exposure from dim Tungsten lighting.

UPDATE: AFTER TAKING THESE PHOTOS...

Months later, it is almost time for Vans Warped Tour to hit the West Coast. I will be shooting with full ViP access for RiFF RAFF for all three of the California, Oregon, and Washington Vans Warped Tour Dates -for both live images, and personal portrait images with RiFF RAFF himself.

After much consultation with owners and creators of CINESTILL FILM COMPANY, The Brothers Wright.... I will also be shooting Vans Warped Tour, while BETA Testing for the BRAND NEW CINESTILL 800T FILM IN 120MM FOR MEDIUM FORMAT, soon to hit the market! I will be one of the first ever photographers to shoot this film! CineStill 800T is a high-speed, highly push-able C-41 Tungsten-Based color film, that was originally made for filming iMAX Motion Picture Films. This film will allow me to get images I wasn't nearly able to get, the first time around! Using CineStill is going to allow me to move up to larger formats as well, such as 6x6 and 6x7. So stay tuned, film nerds ;-)

My website is currently being designed by JODY HiGHROLLER's web designer, and should be launched around the first week of August, around the time I'll be shooting Warped Tour!

I'd like to personally thank everyone who has helped me get to this point, and know there is much more to come from me. I hope you stay tuned in every way you can:

A Rap artist outside the Roy Thomson Hall. After performing for about 20 minutes, all he managed to garner was less than 5 dollars. Walked away soon after.

I met E.P about a year an a half ago. We shared lunch and talked about his vision for shooting some photos for an upcoming hip hop album he was going to release. A bunch of shit happened in both of our lives shortly afterward, and we hadn't talked until just recently about getting that same shoot together. Since then, he's put out a mixtape, and is in the process of another at this very moment. Go like his page and check out his music too!

Becca has these thoughts because she is connected to CharityHelp International (CHI), an organization that sponsors orphanages around the world – including Ripples International in Kenya. CharityHelp is a U.S.-based charity that believes the best ideas stem from within local indigenous communities.

I know CharityHelp well because they partner with the organization I founded, Orphans International Worldwide (OIWW). They help connect child sponsors to our kids in Haiti and Indonesia.

People familiar with the world know there are problems – but there are also solutions. And like the story of the starfish on the beach, we can only throw back into the ocean so many. But to those returned to the sea’s embrace, we are everything.

There are 2.4 million orphans in Kenya. Half are orphans caused by the AIDS pandemic. According to the 2008 UNAIDS Report on Kenya, in one year was responsible for the death of between 90,000 – 110,000 people in Kenya; not just numbers, but teachers, mothers and fathers.

What happens when 100,000 adults succumb to the terrible illness of HIV/AIDS every year, and when whole families disappear before parents and aunts have time to transfer vital cultural wisdom?

One of my favorite musical performers of all time has got to be the Rap Artist Notorious BIG AKA Christopher Wallace, AKA Biggie Smalls, AKA the black demon

Made this drawing today in about 22 minutes in between trades of binary options on www.optionsclick.com I wasn't sure how to best set up the lighting but decided in the end to give true highlights that are burnt to white.
