Pencil Sharpener Rant - Inkling on Moleskine, again
Yet another week passed seeing nonsense going on in certain poor company-wide execution. Poor logic, calculation and consideration (no those are not algorithms, at all) executed in the name of efficiency and ideal automation. Simply said, replacing human decision with formulae requires deep understanding and serious simulations *before* execution. Now is the stage when a lot more human intervention is required to fix certain poor logics.
Yes I'm a sharpener mining my my own business shaping the future in my own ways. Forcing some nonsense into me and I'll keep cranking until raging fume comes out because I refuse to play nice to nonsense. The day when I need protection is the day I lost my value as a sharpener, as blades are not meant to be protected, they are to shape.
Ok, enough self proclaimed heroism. This is just a quick sketch using Inkling on my Moleskine, graphically rant about my recent encounter with sick things. The drawing was exported to Photoshop using Sketch Manager and colored in a sloppy way. Enough to calm me down, call it a therapy.
Wacom Hong Kong is going to have a press conference on 28th Sep 2011 to announce Inkling officially. Since I'm a big fan of Inkling and still sort of a Moleskine fanatic while luckily being the stationery buyer of a retail chain, I'm arranging a promotion in October: Buy Inkling and get 20% off for Moleskine Sketchbook (large or small). This simulation of store display was done in 30 minutes while attending a presentation meeting. I'm very happy to be able to get support from both Wacom and Moleskine for such campaign in such a short time. It won't be a big hit, but at least it benefits certain stationery lovers who happen to love both Inkling and Moleskine. Let's see how it will turn out.

a rant at car-towing motherfuckers who prey on people ... who see a car parked for five minutes and hook it up and take it away, even if it's not blocking anyone and is in a parking lot of a closed restaurant with a tiny, tiny sign warning not to park there (you'd never see the sign because it's obscured and it's a tow trap). yeah, it happened to me tonight, and i walked a few miles in freezing fucking cold to get home and the cops took forever to tell me where my car was. then i had to get a cab to get it, pay a small fortune to a girl who looked like the wife of Dog the Bounty Hunter to get them to release it, and i'm ready to punch the next asshole i see driving a truck for an impound lot.
Both me and my friend were ranting about how much potential the original version of this blue dress has and how Mattel kinda f**k it up with that weird skirt construction (and an awkward length as well!). I found this skirt piece from Cinderella Movie doll's dress that was lying around and we thought I might be fun to try it on her. Coincidentally, the skirt matches perfectly with the rest of the upper body! I have to say, this is probably one of the two most favorite versions of her blue dress ever.
Oh, and we also found out that because her skin tone was so pink, the blue version of the dress suits her so much better than the pink. And because the Disney Store's skin tone was a much more lighter tone of pink, the blue would over power her; therefore, pink version of the dress goes perfectly with the DS Aurora doll.

Im so pissed right now! I bought the Versus Barbie because She was in an auction for a very nice price excluding the extra high price in the shipping but it was fine because the doll price was excellent, now since the f**cking import charges I've been looking for dolls/seller without them and this doll didn't had import charges, so I won the auction for 51 usd and now eBay is trying to charge me with imports that the item didn't show when I was bidding, u see my point? I was lucky to take a picture of the auction and it clearly had no import charges, and now that I have to pay they put the charges! That's not fair! :@
My super-rant ahead: The common belief of how trees became petrified is a myth of science. Petrified wood, and all the formations of the US Southwest, are brimming with strong evidence of a world-wide flood that covered the earth several thousand years ago, and quickly burried these trees under mud and sediment. The cystalization process was quite quick, compared to accepted scientific timeframes. (Info for that here: earthage.org/EarthOldorYoung/scientific_evidence_for_a_worldwide_flood.htm)
There is ample evidence for this account, but that evidence is ignored, so you won't hear any of it in the media. Or if you do hear it, it's derided with all manner of logical falacies and strawman arguments to discredit, and make the other positions look weak and ill-conceived. It's no wonder that the common man doesn't give such arguments a second thought, trusting "the experts" instead.
However, giving attention to the other side of such arguments would expose the flimsy foundations of mainstream science (i.e. beliefs like: everything came from nothing, big bang, evolution, universe/earth are billions of years old, no god, we are insignificant specs of dust in an endless universe, this reality and all you see is just convenient coincidence, etc).
Mainstream science is very much a faith-based religion, albeit a well disguised one. They have woven a false belief system with just enough truth sprinkled in to keep people invested in it, as the one-and-only possible view of how the world works and our place in it. This system continues to push the mainstream narrative without question, ignoring evidence, obfuscating, leading public opinion away from questioning the version of reality they're given, and away from the overwhelming proof of there being One true Creator of all things, our significance and our purpose in His design.
Science has been built on a foundation of deceit through its heavily controlled and funded, but extremely dumbed-down egocentric legions of scientists (scientific priests) for centuries to give the public a form of stiffled scientific advancement, while keeping them ignorant, and dismissive of anything that stands to question the foundational beliefs of science. Scientists who DO question and consider exposing the problems with their "on the shoulders of giants" textbook assumptions, face ridicule in their industries and career suicide.
This is why I always say, if you care to get closer to the truth of earth's past, humanity's past, the purpose of life, and where we're going, you have to accept that truth is never given so easily. But since most of us want it to be that easy, the con artists running this world are only too happy to oblige, at your expense.
Truth has to be diligently sought out, outside of mainstream circles. media, academia and the well funded religion of science will never admit that they've been wrong. Too much is at stake, too many jobs and industries, cultures, false religions and manmade institutions would be disrupted or dissolve entirely. That won't be allowed to happen, so the chrarade will continue.
Yeshua (Jesus) said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through Me."
The road to the truth is in Him, and He reveals these things to us if we strip away the layers of nonsense we've been taught all our lives.

Not that I'm trying to make myself seem amazing, cause I'm not. But just trying to defend myself in a not so mannerful way, I suppose.
Ok, I have to do a bit of a side rant before getting to this image. One of my favorite things about the photography trips I take, is meeting other photographers. Sometimes this is photographers local to a region, and other times it is people traveling on their own photography trips. Regardless, I have met some incredible people in my journeys and made some great friends along the way as well. It often amazes me the quality of people and how far they would go out of their way for other photographers.
On my recent trip to the Pacific Northwest, I had the priveledge of meeting Oregon based photographer Jesse Estes, in the city of Seattle of all places. Jesse is not only one of the most talented photographers out there, but he turned out to be genuinely one of the nicest guys I have met. I think anyone who has ever met him will tell you that he is a stand up guy. Unfortunately our paths were headed in opposite directions (he was headed to the Olympic Coast and we had just returned from there headed to his area in the Columbia River Gorge, but I hope to have the opportunity to run into him again in the near future!
Now for this image. My friend Ron and I had showed up to this location to capture a sunset shot of downtown Seattle, but the sun was nowhere to be found. It was actually drizzling on and off and pouring rain in the far distance, with the clouds rolling in and out. Knowing there was not going to be any color from the sunset, I opted to get creative and started stacking filters for long exposures. This provided some really nice cloud formations, as well as some great car light streaks on the roads and highways.
I always appreciate your critique on any of my images, as it helps me to improve.

Attention web site people: it's 2009. Creative Commons happened already. Wikipedia happened already. If you're going to be all Expert's Exchange about this thing, you're going to end up relegated to that ass end of the internet where no one clicks on your search results because you're just using your content as a big link-baiting advertisement.
And actually, it's not even YOUR content! You're just sharecropping your USERS content -- content which, since you just recently started this lock-up, they didn't think would be hidden when they uploaded it. Sure, I'm sure it's legal by the technicalities of the license agreement that no one reads. But it's not how your site used to work, and it breaks the spirit of the implicit contract you have with your users. And it breaks the community's spirit.
I don't get why people with good stuff on Instructables wouldn't just delete their articles and take them somewhere else that doesn't have a lame paywall. Seriously, people, it's your content. Why are you letting someone else try to monetize it... by HIDING it from everyone else?
Here's a not-new idea: Why don't you offer me a POSITIVE BENEFIT for buying an account (like the ability to comment, or rate up/down, or access to contests, or different ways to browse/search the content, or whatever) instead of TAKING AWAY the basic functionality from your site and then trying to force me to pay to get it back. Chances are I'm walking away instead of forking out cash if I can't simply click around and see stuff on your site without nag-dialogs spamming me.

OK, first of all: I love to rant . And what I say one day so strongly isn't rare to do not take so seriously on the next day or do not even believe on that . Or believe even more going to the last consequences . There is no logic and this is the way my brain works . If your Anglo-Saxon way to see the world sometimes doesn't match with mine... don't worry , it isn't an scandal... you don't need to lose nights thinking about this and hating me . It is natural and exists a huge world out there where people thinks in a very different way ( not wrong or right , better or worse ) than the way you learn at the school... don't take so seriously, it is just another person's opinion. All the time I post what I am thinking at the moment it causes huge polemic. Why ? Last week had an explosion of people posting hateful opinions about me on Tumblr because a text I posted here . It made me lose followers on Blogspot , Tumblr and Posterous . hahah!! I had to delete it in all the blogs because was tired to answer and be cursed . Even on Wordpress where I never receive any comments , I received few ones complaining about in less than 2 hours . What is Funny is that the ones that complain , curse me , stop to follow my blogs, and posted horrible things about me on Tumblr last week aren't Neo-Nazis , Fanatic Muslims , Buddhist Monks , Christians Ministers , K.K.K., South American Guerrilheiros Revilucionarios Anti-Democracy, ..... no ... are the ones that preach about tolerance and democracy , the ones that believe tolerance must to be the foundation of the society. The ones that are always the first to talk about freedom of speech and thoughts. Those are the ones that throw rocks on me all the time I open my mouth . This is a blog !! If I can't rant on my own blog where am I going to do that ? I'm front of my aquarium to my fishes drinking green tea . I mean... my country came out from dictatorship and still today the politics on the power use sentences as : "there is too much freedom of press, people are abusing " . Yesterday the president made an long speech complaing that people aren't respecting his candidates for this election and the we should shut up. If I can't come to a blog and say what I think... come on !! People on Internet behave as Third World dictators . Every body gets offended because what I say isn't " acceptable " . It is what I said on the last post when people got offended and I had to delete . It is very convenient to tell me to shut up. Yes , this is what they want . People from poor countries must to have any real opinion about nothing because it isn't acceptable . People like me can't express themselves , we should go to the factories and deny our existences producing cheap products to be consumed in the other countries . People like me can't have voice , face ... we must to hide ourselves for the rest of our lives in a way that is more convenient for the citizens of the First World countries. If people from my origins produce art , must to be something appropriate to be consumed as an exotic inoffensive thing by the ones in Manhattan , London , Berlin.... I mean... We must to produce something that makes the guy when he goes to the gallery look and feel good with himself saying : "Oh , this is interesting, different , I support his cause , I am a nice open minded sofisticated liberal person , now I can go home in peace and drink a good wine before to sleep with peace of mind because I saw a fucking artists fron a Thrid World country and supported it, i am so special smart and good" . That is the reason i dislike when people refer to me as "Brazilian artist " because following this labels has all the weight of the expectation that i have to do something "different" and nice ... something like a tropical circus monkey , a Carmen Miranda or a stereotype of contemporary art that is what is well accepted today's market . Freedom never comes after the "Brazilian artist" label. This is for sure . But i would be very unfair if i put all the blame on the place I came from. No . It happens with everyone in everywhere today more than ever. The world never was so closed to different opinions and ideas as it has been today .
I was thinking this afternoon how ridiculous have been the 'rockers' for the last decade . You see lots of guys making that proud big headed expressions , putting their noses up and saying : "I am a rocker " " I am a rock star " " I make rock'n'roll" . It is so ridiculous . I never trust an artist that can talk so sure about its work. If you see the bands of the history that made History and changed aesthetic values for real... they on interviews never say " I make rock'n'roll". I remember the few real bands I saw in activity , they were never able to explain their own sounds. They real ones are like that . Art is like that . I never trust on people the can talk about their production so sure of it . It means they aren't really creating, investigating , only reproducing values or formulas that already exist . The biggest artists i saw in my life when asked about their works used to make a pretty dumb face because didn't know how to answer that . What i posted last week was a bit about that ... and i receive a waterfall of rage on my head , still today, one week later i have received very impolite comments about. Sorry if what i say makes you feel that your mask falls and you get angry. But people that is so sure of what is art and what is producing don't have too much to offer . People that are so sure about themselves only reproduces what was already made . It is easy to be sure that way. I am sure when i am making pasta .. it is a recipe that exists for generations. But i am not sure when i am painting or writing or living . Because i do it my way . and my way is brand new, there is no recipe or really concepts to guide me . And if you call this "intellectual talk " as i was accused more than one time before . I am sorry for you. because if you aren't concerned about the nature of what you produce it means you are producing very shallow stuff that doesn't add anything to the world or even to your life . Maybe you get happy to do what was already done . But i don't get satisfied with that and want to have freedom to express my dissatisfaction and keep searching without a narrow minded asshole protesting because my position on this world isn't convenient to him/her and its pathetic sterile life with 'acceptable works" being produced .
Other thing i want to talk is about my book and the way it was written. Every one knows because i posted it already on my blog that i wrote this in English because i want it to be read by everyone . Trust me , it is a pleasure to me when i write and communicate in English. Really . It completely spoilt me because now when i write poetry in my own language i feel totally incomplete as something was missing. I love to express myself as i am doing now .
But here comes the others ( inferno ) . The defenders of the language . Always from USA and England ( the ones that read my book and are fron Germany , Holland , Spain , Austria , Italy, Brazil.... dodn't complain about language , and some Americans and Englishs too ). Really , how can such nice people have a such horrible language ? In England after a while , the only ones i accepted to have contact was the Englishes, the original ones , not the immigrants or their descendants. The Englishes were that most sympathetic , polite , honest , and nicer people i have met in my entire life . I never get tired to say this because it is true and for all the thousands of times they were kind with me saving my life or only making my day . The Americans were the best friend I made in Europe . Maybe because people really hates Americans in Europe they are very nice with the few ones that don't show any prejudice against then. It was my case .... i will never forget the Americans i met out there because they were very friendly people i could trust. We helped each other always that was necessary. Not talking about the 20Th century North American cultural production in all the areas that ( and i am not saying it only for saying ) really saved my life , my brain , my ethic and moral values , my faith in God . Everything good i have inside me has a foot in the American culture somehow. But people.... come on !!! Do you really need to bitch on me giving a such hard time because of the way i wrote this book ? And it because i showed it for a bit more of half dozen of people and wasn't even published yet. I mean... isn't enough i speak and write on your language trying to be nice and social.... do i have to think like you too ? Do i have to destroy all the structure in my brain and adopt yours ? Aren't you being too harsh ? And people say it isn't correct English language. What is correct English language ? It doesn't exist. A language that needs so much phrasal verbs , idioms , slang's and have no real rules for prepositions can't be right. A language that uses resources as "get, got , do , did...." can't be considered as a correct language . It changes everyday and begs for improvisation all the time because of the lack of a real structure . And I am not even talking about the huge gap created by the accents , what doesn't happen with most part of the occidental languages. So should i stop to think on my own language too. Isn't enough i try to write in a way that people around the world can understand ? Do you really need to tell me that my text isn't correct and conventional . I have two examples :
One : Sure I am not comparing my self , but i even should because would be fun . But if English was a language with such good structure Shakespeare wouldn't need to create so much new words for try to express himself . And i bet that if he was alive now and wrote a book with lots of new words as he did people would bitch on him much more than what happened on his time . Two : Is my text hard to read ? Hard to understand what i mean sometimes ? It makes me remember the last week on Facebook, Jasmine , and i think later Momo Luna sent me a post where i should list my 15 favorite albums of all times. On my list , at least 10 of then were albums very hard for me to listening on the first 5 times . Were albums that i bought and hated first even regretting for have spent money with that. I didn't like , didn't understand what was happening , didn't follow the musics ... these albums years later , 10 , 15 years later are the 15 top favorite of a collection where I have more than 500 albums considered favorites, i loved to have made that list of 15 favorites and spent the entire last week listeneing then again . The same with many of my favorite movies , books and art pieces, they are new languages, it isn't easy to get at first .
I am sorry if you spent the entire life consuming jelly, Mcdonalds, MTV hits and All Disney movies. Let me tell you one thing: Real forms of expressions don't have label , aren't easy to digest, and aren't easy for the creator to talk about or explain . It happens . If you have contact with my production, welcome to a world were things aren't logic , easy and acceptable . I am not going to chew you food and put it gently in your belly . Forget about . It has an entire industry of billions of dollars doing this for you, wanting to please you. Isn't necessary to demand it from me . My book is hard to read , is hard to digest for many reasons , and i am proud of that .
What do you expect about a book that talks about a guy the lives in a global world "full of tolerance and human rights" being excluded of it ? No , sorry , i didn't write a romantic comedy . I believe Hollywood won't buy it.
So people . Take easy . If it is so hard to deal with me I am sorry , I didn't mean to be a such pain in the ass only for say what I think on Internet. For paint what i can ( not what i want because i have no control of what happens in my studio, and i am not saying that for looking cool ) . For write what i thing and feel. It has been hard enough to me for all these years , all this life having to deal with my head... image with people "shooting" against me because of what i post on Internet, on my own blogs.... It so ironic and unfair . My grandfather left Europe because Hitler was after him. My father was arrested by the local dictators . And now i can't say what i think on my own blog . The difference is that now nobody can put the blame on any government. Now the dictatorship comes from people . The ones that have their own blogs and post what they feel like to do and say ... this people now comes to tell me to shut up and change my way to think . Don't you think you are too narrow minded and unfair values telling people what is right or wrong to think ? Don't you think you are behaving as people that begs for do not have freedom . Calling me names and criticizing my production as have happened gives reason to your own governments and big companys to start to control the press as have happened in all the called "Occidental free world" . It isn't argument anymore... it is violence and Nazism. Remember , Nazism isn't about race or nationality . It is about standards, the psture you take about the ones that are diferent.
Ok, after to spend the evening drinking lots of green tea and geting high with cafeine, maybe I can post this at 9:50 pm.

Just after taking this shot, I had some conflict with the newly hired Securitas guy. What happened to Amtrak Cops?
What an idiot. I usually walk down into the yard to get shots of whatever pullmans are sitting in the yard. (Only thing there today was 2 of milwaukee road 261's coaches) I noticed him in the yard so I stayed on the bridge.
He noticed me and my big SLR camera right away, and went berserk when I put my huge soom lense on. He turned on his Ford Escape's amber roof mounted lights on and drove up the hill.
He watched me for a minute, then he yelled out the window as I changed lenses, "What are you taking pictures of?!"
"The trains," I explained.
"Why!?" he asked.
"I'm a railfan," i said.
"I railfan huh? A fan of the rails?" re inquired sarcastically.
"Yeah"
"This is Amtrak property," he replied, "They don't want you taking pictures of their trains
"The sidewalk is public property Starsky, What happened Amtrak run outta real cops"
He got mad then.
"You need to show some respect," he yelled.
"I know my rights, I'm gonna stay on public property and take all the photos I want, so you can fuck off rent-a cop."
"I think we're done here," he said, returning to the yard.
God I hate security guards.

Over the past few years I have photographed 700+ species of live insect on a white surface, and 100+ fish with a black background. Often when I show people my pictures, respond with “you must have a really nice camera.” I get this “compliment” often enough for it to be my first Facebook rant ever. Here are photographs I took with both of my cameras. The first one, a 9.5 year old PowerShot, which has a completely black (broken) screen, and no working flash (it exploded). The other one is taken with a much newer Rebel, complete with a touch screen. As you can see the only difference between the two images is their size.
Photographers like me have talent, patience, a keen eye, and often a scientific understanding of light and the behavior of our subjects. The male betta fish in these photos don’t just swim around with their heavy fins wide opened like that. Usually they are droopy, and often during my photoshoots the fish will sink to bottom of the tank, exhausted from swimming with their long fins. They only flare up when faced with a rival male, which is not seen in the photos.
Similarly, bugs don’t just sit still and smile for the camera. I have to trick them into feeling comfortable and safe enough that they will sit calmly while exposed on a white sheet of plastic.
We have patience- I have spent hours with the same fish waiting for it to yawn, to get a shot of it with its mouth wide open. I have chased wasps in circles around my house trying to get a shot of them sitting still on a white surface (but using my scientific knowledge, I also know to photograph them near a bright window so they just fly to that, or to make the photoshoot at 3:00 in the morning so the wasp will just sleep through the photoshoot).
And it wasn’t just my “nice camera” that made the black background, it was my understanding that if I light up my subject and nothing around it, then the background will appear black to the camera.
No, I have anything but a nice camera. For my snowflake shots and some of my insect shots, I literally tape the lens on backwards. I even used Sharpie to scribble out the white words on my lens so they don’t reflect off the glass when I shoot my fish on black. If anything, most of my photo setups would be considered “ghetto”.
So remember, next time compliment the photographer, not their camera equipment.
I rarely feel angry enough to rant anywhere online, I usually just keep things to myself and try to deal with it on my own, but this is just ridiculous. Since I've been putting up my custom MH fashions on the bay, I've had nothing, but trouble! They sell, but then later I get a message from little kids, that purchased the fashions, saying "I thought the doll was included, I don't want it anymore". In every single auction, I always put that the DOLL IS NOT INCLUDED in big, bold letters! If that isn't enough, I still put in big, bold letters that you should read the auction first before purchasing the item. I'm very straight forward about whats included and whats not included in my auctions. I never write big paragraphs, because I know sometimes buyers do not like to read, so I make it short , sweet and to the point! I've listed all my MH fashions, so many times on eBay and the same thing keeps happening over and over and over again.
Parents should be on top of their kids, especially when it comes to purchasing something online. Thanks to your kids, I'm stuck paying the listing fee, final auction value fee, and my fashions remain unsold. I'm tired of all the poorly written messages I keep receiving about, how they did not read the auction description, they do not have the funds to purchase it, and if I do not include the doll with the custom fashion, then they do not want it. I even had someone ask me, if I could just send the fashion to them without paying for it, so they wouldn't get in trouble with their parents....seriously???
I understand that MH is aimed toward kids, I get that! but I see similar things happening with other adult MH collectors and it just boggles my mind that kids now a days do not have any common sense! Especially here on Flickr! They're either asking for free handouts, tagging me in next top model crap that I have no interest in whats so ever, insulting people left and right, or being just plain annoying. Yea, that's a whole different story that I'm not even going to touch.
Anyways, please excuse my ranting. Like I said, I'm not one to talk about things that bother me online, but this particular situation was just really bugging me. I just wish eBay would take care of its sellers :|
Domino's Pizza Inc. are perfectly capable of making rather good pizzas, though I much prefer to make my own. However, look no further than above for a perfect illustration of how so many major companies lack any social responsibility. For decades, people, schools and health agencies have tried, tried and tried again to promote healthier eating habits to both consumers and the food industry. For example, common dietary advice to control Type 2 Diabetes (which is becoming ever more of an issue in the modern world and affecting younger and younger people) is to eat a lot more fresh fruit and vegetables, at least two portions of oily fish a week, and eat a lot less saturated fat, salt and sugars.
So what do Domino's promote as soon as the summer school holidays start? Lotta-Chocca Pizza. Frankly it beggars belief and Domino's should hang their corporate heads in total shame.
And whilst we are on the subject, why on earth fuse pizza with chocolate in the first place? Old school Italians will be turning in their graves. If you want to eat something similar, presumably as a dessert rather than a main course, go for a nice Belgian Chocolate Tart which at least might have real chocolate in it rather than that foul-looking slurry served up by Domino's.

Well, I was reading the comments on this post; oceanup.com/2010/08/20/intuition-possible-selena-gomez-de... ; I noticed A LOT OF HATE about Selena "not writing her own songs" on A Year Without Rain. Honestly, it's ridiculous. People are calling her annoying. Uhm, there is no proof she's annoying. Second - she is giving credit to the people writing her songs, I'm sure of that. Third - She wrote some songs on her album, probably. Haters stop saying she's not original. It's her album, has to have her own songs. Seriously, it's annoying how people hate on her for the most ridiculous reasons ever.
Half of haters don't have good enough reasons to hate her so just BTFO, & STFU. k bbs?

I'm feeling the need to rant about the Nikon Service department. A couple of months ago, I encountered the dreaded dust spot issue on my Nikon D70. I decided to send the camera in to Nikon Service for a sensor cleaning because I wasn't comfortable with doing this myself. Fifty dollars (this is not covered under the warranty) and 6 weeks later I get the camera back. I take some test photos... and discover that the dust spot problem just got worse!!! Are there any other Nikon owners out there who have had a similar problem with Nikon Service??? And for those of you who are digital SLR users who change lenses from time to time, have you ever experienced the dust spot issue?
Okay all this drama is getting annoying. There are some things I feel like no one is understanding. First off to target the drama in general. If you don't like the drama and want to avoid it then don't put yourselves in situations where it may happen. Now if you look at my stream you will notice something. NO DRAMA. Now I may not get as much attention compared to alot of the other people in the lego community but there is no drama and I like it that way. That brings me to another point, popularity.
I see it happen WAY to much. A person will post a picture saying "Hey guys what do you want me to build". That pisses me off beyond belief. DON'T BUILD TO PLEASE OTHERS! Just build for your own pleasure. To see the types of things you can make. To see how far your efforts can go. While having 100's of screaming fanboys must be fun it is just a cool little side effect. The only time you should build for others is when you want to sell something.
Also I hate all the people leaving. It's one thing to leave but when your reason is because other people are leaving that's just stupid. You can't really get to much more hypocritical. All you are doing then is creating more people wanting to leave for the same stupid purpose. How about instead of leaving you stay and contribute to the community in a way that you make it better? And if you are leaving because lots of great builders aren't active. Well there are always more coming in.
It wasn't that long ago that we didn't have Wimbe, Carson Hart, Magus and many others. You have to try to find them. I am always finding new people who are great. Alot of times they just need a little help. I remember when Magus only had two faves a pic. They were from me and ToyWiz who was always added. Now look at how many he gets. I found Wimbe when his first build didn't even have a comment and now he has forever changed the mech building comunitty.I found Carson Hart when hew literally only had one comment and look how far he has come! Now basically every other day I find new people with amazing potential. How about instead of complaining at the amount of inactive good builders there are you try to find new ones and help them. If you see a "noob" who needs instead of trolling how about you help him? Give advice on anything he/she needs help on. If we all do this then maybe the Flickr Lego community can be brought back to how it used to be!

Yeah, occasionally I work from home. Sometimes I help mind the store when I'm not on the clock. We're a 24x7x365 operation, but support can be spotty after normal business hours and on weekend and holidays.

I took this photo in 2009, graffiti stating abuse to herself in her own hometown, Camden. everyone was totally oblivious to the fact that she would have died soon, and not knowing that she would die this year. i think it's kinda sick, the way everyone used to insult her, hate on her just because the way she lived her life. however now that she has passed away, everyone seems to preach that they loved her and her music? why do people do this, I don't understand.. maybe some sorta feeling bad for what they used to say or think. not knowing the damage it can do to someone.

definitely one of my favourite musicians and inspirations, always loved her and her image - never condoned the drugs or alcohol abuse but that was her own problems. i think people are only realising now from her hidden album that was found and released, how good she actually was.
