Found this critter also hanging in the ruins at Montezuma's National Monument, Arizona May 22, 2017.

Ollaan nyt ajettu hiekkarantaa pitkin 25 KM ja vastaan tuli liikennemerkki jos lukee et seuraava paikkakuntaan on matkaa 11 kilsaa.

Anyone who hears from me on a regular basis will I'm sure have noticed that I sign off with some connotation of safe, safe home, stay safe, what have you. And here's why. I see too many incidents like this in my working week. And that's someones Mom, Dad, Daughter, Son, Friend that got hurt. I'd rather it wasn't you next.

Or a rant I guess, depending on how you look at it.
Everybody's situation and life is different, and nobody has to justify anything. A few facts:
1) Neither my husband nor I come from money. We are both from working class poor backgrounds.
2) My husband is very successful in his career. We are not rich, but we are comfortable. We pay our bills, put money away for retirement, buy food and clothes for our kids, and beyond that, we enjoy our money.
3) My husband is very generous and indulgent of me. He buys the things he wants -- he has some pricy hobbies too -- but he also likes to buy me things I want. Neither of us complains about this situation, and also we discuss with each other what we plan to buy before we buy it. There isn't anything I want so badly that I would create bad feelings in my marriage to get it.
4) I have not, nor will I ever, buy a doll using a credit card or savings. It comes right out of checking, or I don't buy it.
5) I have self-imposed dolly spending limits. There are some items I will never have, not because I can't afford them, but because I think that's too much for me to pay for that. Other people will not feel the same way I do, and I respect their right to make their own choices.
6) I don't need a certain custom doll or a certain doll dress to be happy, and I never will. I also respect the maker's right to set his or her own prices. Just because someone can't or won't pay that much does not mean the price they set is too high. It's called FREE MARKET.
7) My husband is successful because he has been able to focus his energies on his career to an extent that he would never have been able to do, had I chosen to go to work. Sometimes a person's contribution can not be measured in dollars, but that does not mean they aren't contributing.
8) I live in a very tiny town that relies mostly on tourism for revenue and jobs. I could go get an $8 an hour job at the gas station, but that would mean 1 less job in town for either a young person just starting out, or somebody who really NEEDS the money from that job to help their own family. And the benefit to my own family would be negligible.
9) None of this stuff that I just typed is anybody's business, I just want to demonstrate that you should not make sweeping generalizations when you really don't know what goes on in somebody else's life!
This snarkiness on a certain tumblr irritates me. WHY is it anybody's business if somebody works or doesn't, what somebody does or doesn't do with their blythe doll, how somebody dresses their blythe doll, and so on?? I really should just -- not read that stuff. I have dealt with the judgement of others for most of my 20 year marriage, it still gets under my skin. It's a PRIVATE matter.
If you can afford a blythe doll at all, you're better off than probably 90% of the rest of the people in the world, so instead of being so hateful maybe you should show some gratitude at your own good fortune.
My husband's contribution: "since when is it bad for a mother to stay at home and be a mother?"

I hate seeing things shot up like this. It's idiots with guns that make responsible gun owners look bad too.

September 29, 2011. Admittedly, I didn't take any photos today. I'm really burnt out on school, but I really need to focus. I also am really disappointed my Canon AE-1 is in the shop again because of a battery drain, but I am promised they will either replace the part or trade it with another for the same price. I just want it back.
But anyway, I took this on the floor in the morning light.
