Canon Powershot SX10 IS. Göteborgsposten, a newspaper, had a handful of point-and-shoots with lots of zoom tested.

Their only complaints about SX10 were that it lacks the RAW format (which I know nothing about anyway) and can't shoot HD video (which I totally would do... if I had a 1000000 dollar tripod... and an eye for moving images... and patience... and ambition... and stuff... Yeah...).

Oh, I figure it would actually be nice to make screencaps of HD video, but I'll live.

When I first saw SX10 there was a very similar camera next to it. IIRC, the main difference was that the other cam could shoot HD video and cost €200 more. :p

And here are the SX10 pics I have uploaded.
