Another still life experiment. Not had the time to actually go out and shoot something interesting, so it was a case of throwing some random objects together and getting out the strobes once more. I'm finding I'm enjoying shooting still life more and more, and it's something I'd definitely like to be a lot better at. I know it's not that exciting to look at however, so apologies! Hopefully I'll have something more interesting to put up next week! ;-)
Lit with single strobe left with shoot through umbrella.
Here we see Joni renewing acquaintances with DeeDee Allen at this year's Keystone Conference in the photo on the left. DeeDee and Joni reminisced about their days as bunnies working together in the Playboy Club in New York City. (Photo right) Joni was a local girl working her way through college, while DeeDee was a shy young girl from a small town in Ohio, who came to New York to pursue her dreams of becoming a model and an actress. Both girls worked their bunny tails off serving food and drinks, while enduring constant harassment and groping at the hands of lecherous and drunken patrons.
DeeDee's prospective career as a model/ actress was sidetracked when she caught the eye of Hugh Hefner one evening when Hefner was inspecting his New York club. She was invited to live in Hefner's Playboy Mansion and was rumored to be Hefner's girlfriend for several years until Hefner met and fell for Barbi Benton and unceremoniously evicted DeeDee from the Playboy Mansion. Rumor has it that DeeDee is writing a tell-all expose of life in the Playboy Mansion as Hefner's concubine, but that will likely be another tall bunny tale, just like this one! . . . One has to admit that both ladies were quite buxom in those days!
Thank you, DeeDee! xoxoxo
I just uploaded these experiments I made with processing:

I often observe the randomness of cows and their place on the prairie landscapes given they have much of the entire area to their own doing. Like a modelling set, this opportunity they seemed very particular about position and placement, and somehow the random order they scatter to the wind began to take shape.
