Our first day in Cairo, we were just wandering around, and this looked interesting. Presumably part of a mosque, but other than that, I really know nothing about it.
I decided to try take a picture of a person as randomly as I could while i was in Portland. I tried while walking down the street, but kept getting distracted and missing the shot, so finally I found this sweet spot in the front window of a pub where I could focus. I cheated on the geographic randomness though- I purposely chose an interesting street with lots of foot traffic. : )
OK, so this was the 16th person that passed by. I think he had something on his mind.

So here is a Savers find, where I got this Breyer scale doll but her limbs had melted into her torso but she had a really cute face and a nice, if sparse, hair colour. I wasn’t really inspired to do much until i saw Andrea had a couple of Bratz body hybrids and I saw that this breyer clone had a similar sized body to a Bratz. So I fixed up her wiry hair and plopped her onto a body and put her in a Daiso outfit.
I replaced her stumps with a pair of volks feet but I may try drilling out the legs to put in a pair of jointed Obitsu feet and replace her hands with Obitsu ones now that I know that my bf has a power drill hehe.
This thing is battery operated but still works.. but I cannot set the alarm anymore or change the minutes because the buttons aren't responding. Found it at Goodwill for $2.99

Apparently, a construction worker decided to hang up this headshot of Anna Pinna. Who Anna Pinna is, I have no clue. Still, there you go.
(Actually, like everyone else on the planet, Anna has a web site. Still, why her picture smiles back at me is anyone's guess.)

The long stretch of windows fronting the Wellcome Trust in London plays host to a series of installations: the latest is an interactive light piece by rAndom International...
Reflex is the seventh of the Trust's annual installations and reacts to pedestrians passing by its premises on the Euston Road. It emulates 'swarming behaviour' and is apparently based on an algorithm developed to replicate the collective decision making seen in large groups of creatures such as birds or ants.
The piece is constructed from hundreds of brass rods and thousands of LEDs arranged on small custom chips. Reflex recreates 'stigmergy', the Wellcome Trust explain, whereby traces left by random actions stimulate further actions that build on one another, leading to the spontaneous emergence of apparently patterned activity.
