A walk round Ramsgate by Jelltex

Something different on Sunday, now that the snow had almost all gone.

I fancied breakfast, and although Deal has places, why not go to somewhere where we have not been for a few years?

We arrived with the best of the weather, some weak sunshine still shone, making the harbour look like it was some 500 miles further south.

We eat in a cafe overlooking the harbour, and watch people wander by as we eat our fry ups.

Liverpool Lawn, Ramsgate by f22photographie

Originally named Liverpool terrace and Liverpool Place, built in 1827-1840 and renamed Liverpool Lawn in 1867.

The Lawn took its name from the second Earl of Liverpool who was UK Prime Minister from 1812-1847.

The buildings have been Grade 11 Listed and part of the large Ramsgate Conservation Area since it was first designated in 1970.
