Plaque on the Ramsgate Royal Harbour Obelisk, 5 September 2020. It was erected to commemorate the embarkation of King George IV to visit his other Kingdom - that of Hanover - in 1821.

The pillars in the foreground are relics of the stalled Royal Sands development. It was supposed to consist of several storeys of flats over shops/restaurants. Nothing seems to have happened on the site for years now.

Herring Gulls. Photographed at Ramsgate Harbour, Kent, UK on 10 February 2017. Thought the bird second from the left looked interesting, but is just a Herring Gull, maybe argentatus?
