તા. ૨૪ મી ના રવિવારના રોજ યોજાનારી રાજકોટ હાફ મેરેથોન દોડ ૨૦૧૬ માં ભાગ લેવા માટે સ્પર્ધકોએ અભુતપૂર્વ ઉત્સાહ દેખાડતા શ્યામાપ્રસાદ આર્ટ ગેલેરી, રેસકોર્ષ ખાતે શરૂ થયેલ કિટ વિતરણમાં મોટી સંખ્યામાં યુવાનો આવ્યા હતા અને રન ફોર રાજકોટ ના હેસ્ટેગ સાથે સેલ્ફી પડાવી સોશ્યલ મિડીયામાં વાયરલ થઈ હતી. સોશ્યલ મિડીયામાં પ્રમોશન માટે SMMS, પ્રમોશન પાર્ટનર તરીકે પી આર કન્સલ્ટન્સી, આઈટીવી પાર્ટનર તરીકે ગુજરાતી ટીવી અને વેબ પાર્ટનર તરીકે સીટીગાઇડ દ્વારા આ મુવમેન્ટને વિશ્વફલક ઉપર લઈ જવાના ભગીરથ પ્રયત્નો છેલ્લા ૧ મહિનાથી ચલાવવામાં આવી રહ્યા છે જેના ફલસ્મૃતિરૂપે ૪૦,૦૦૦ થી વધુ લોકોએ પોતાના રજીસ્ટ્રેશન કરાવેલા છે અને અત્યાર સુધીમાં રાજકોટ મેરેથોન ડોટ કોમની વેબસાઈટ પર બે લાખ થી વધુ લોકો વિઝીટ કરી ચુકયા છે.
