Shot secured we walked to Rajkot Junction station as this was only a short distance away. This gave us our first taste of the organised chaos of India, whilst trying not to be run over in the process. We attempted to leave our big rucksacks in the station cloakroom on arrival but were told we needed a ticket for this. However, both the reserved and non-reserved ticket offices couldn't (or wouldn't) sell us one. Defeated, we decided to camp out at the south end of the station in order to photograph any movements heading north (the station being on a giant s-bend) before our train.
WDG4G no.49370 is seen departing the non-platform roads at Rajkot Junction with a tank train for the north on 1st November 2022. Though we were mainly here for ALCos we were actually quite impressed with the sound these locos made, especially when hauling a heavy freight such as this. Manufacture of these locos commenced in 2017 with the first 50 being constructed at the GE plant in the US. The rest are being constricted locally under a deal between Indian Railways and GE.
Malvan is a town which lies in southernmost part of Maharashtra in the Sindhudurg District. This is the rocky shore of Rajkot in Malvan.
The small house which can be seen in the distant horizon is actually a Chapel known as 'Our Lady of Rosary Church'. That was a wonderful evening spent as it didnt rain unlike other evenings here. Even the chruch was playing some lovely Goanese music which i throughly enjoyed together with shooting this amazing location. This place is not a tourist hot-spot so i didnt have to bother about people coming in my frame but shared the spot with thousands of crabs who were constantly busy making some kind of tapping noise.

One of Rajkot's few attractions is the Watson Museum, established in 1888 to commemorate Colonel John Watson, who served as the British political agent of Kathiawar and was a enthusiastic collector of local artefacts, most of which are now on display inside. This photograph is of the splendid Durbar Hall.
The Buddhist caves are situated caityagrha . On one side of the entrance and the other side of the bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara badmapani vajrapani Avalokiteshvara kotarayela size sculptures are completed .
Because of small arms satavadani dungaramalani the caves around the site, but would be dilakhusa picturesque najharao found . Caves around the hilly area and the springs can be dilakhusa .

Rajkot is a large provencial city in Gujerat State, India. Gandhi lived here for a while and despite it's very 'rural' urbanity, it's fallen victim to Pizza Huts and shopping malls in sprawling developments just outside of town..
and of course, cows, goats, even elephants can have the same access to roads as people and everyday traffic!
