During a rain shower at work, we noticed a waterfall coming down from the lobby veranda roof down into the moat outside my office. Instead of using actual downspouts, this small roof has its water channeled to either side, causing a waterfall effect.

Four days long holiday of Hijri new year (1434 H now) was marked by daily hard rain in Bandung. It is common for the end of the year, during rain season. However, we still have "seasonal disaster": flood and landslide happen on various location. Jawa Barat (West Java) has some disaster spots and people are asked to prepare and to be more aware.

Yesterday afternoon and evening, the last day of long weekend, flood came in Regency of Bandung, the south area, about 30 kms from City of Bandung.

It rained practically the whole way from Annapolis to Cincinnati. Up ahead is the most interesting road cut in the entire eastern half of the US. Unfortunatley it was mostly obscurred by the nasty weather.
