Yesterday, Kathryn baked an awesome rainbow cake - which seemed the perfect fit for this theme.
This photo features the remains of the (huge) piece that got cut for photographic purposes & was then made available for tasting :)
As well as much kitchen magic, she helped me take this, thanks sis :)

Also made a rainbow cake, but I liked the cupcakes more.

But followed the instructions on the box of cake mix instead of using sprite.
I made the cake, but had some leftover batter that I used for these! Just put into baking cups and pop them in the oven. Messy, but super fun, and the result is awesome.
I ducked into a Vietnamese bakery the other day and I saw this cake on the counter. So I had to buy it. Partly because I thought It would make a good photographic subject and partly because it made me laugh.
I dont know what it tasted like because I didn't try it.
The colours scared me too much.

Practice cake for my nieces' birthday party. We used canned frosting for this one. For the final cake we made the mistake of using home made frosting, which made the cake really unstable.
Made for my tie-dye party! Inspired by this recipe but I just used my own favorite cake batter recipe. You can use a box mix too.
