Eastbound CB&Q dinky makes a station stop at Highlands as a westbound express rolls through on the middle track. Trainman is likely standing at the crosswalk to ensure debarking passengers don't unwittingly walk into the path of the oncoming train. Hinsdale IL, June 1968.

Im Hintergrund geben die Lärchen ihre schöne herbstliche Leuchtkraft ab.
In the first sunlight of the day, the Ge 4/4 627 "100 years Chur-Arosa" with a regio pendulum on its way from Pontresina to Scuol-Tarasp.
In the background, the larches give off their beautiful autumnal luminosity.
This is part of the Avoca line that operates solely to transport coal from the Fingal Valley. TasRail has not operated passenger trains in Tasmania since 1978. It exists entirely as a freight transport network. It is a single line narrow gauge rail system (1067mm, 42 inches).
After delivering the empties, BLE 866 and company double up a loaded train under the NYC at Conneaut.

The New Haven RR boxcar at left is a "hirail" version that came ready to run from S Helper Service. The reefer at right was a "shake the box" scale wooden kit from Kinsman.

Back to our ubiquitous TR class locos, this time numbers 06 and 14 as they breeze their long train upgrade towards Rogerville with Friday evening's No 32 paper train. The evidence of all our recent rain can be seen here in an area that rarely does get green!.

Here is a slightly different night time perspective of the old rail car loading dock on Windsor, Ontario’s riverfront with downtown Detroit in the background. Up until the 1980’s most of downtown Windsor’s riverfront was covered in rail tracks with three docks available to load box cars onto ferries. The city of Windsor was able to buy up the riverfront land and convert it into 5 km (3 miles) of open parkland. Two of the loading docks remain as a reminder of our past railroad riverfront.
Bland CSX train Q296 with about a thousand autoracks blasts under the Pennsy-era signals at MP 279, just east of downtown Indianapolis. Just look at that non-matching yellow touch up paint on the handrails. Classy!

El pasado mes de Octubre tuvimos la suerte de ver circular trenes militares por el sur, aquí tenemos este procedente de San Gregorio cruzando el viaducto del Anchuron con destino Benahadux y que el amigo Raúl y yo pillamos por los pelos ya que no encontrábamos la forma de cruzar el río que hay debajo, de hecho yo me coloque en esa pequeña altura con el tren ya en la curva justo antes de entrar en el puente.
