Eine Captrain 193 bespannte den Walter Ganzzug aus Wanne-Eickel und war hier bei Woltorf Richtung Tschechien unterwegs.
This is part of the Avoca line that operates solely to transport coal from the Fingal Valley. TasRail has not operated passenger trains in Tasmania since 1978. It exists entirely as a freight transport network. It is a single line narrow gauge rail system (1067mm, 42 inches).

The New Haven RR boxcar at left is a "hirail" version that came ready to run from S Helper Service. The reefer at right was a "shake the box" scale wooden kit from Kinsman.
Luckily, camera with telephoto was ready when I crested the public bridge that leads to the Four Corners Generating Station...although as I'm now discovering, this shot really breaks no new ground on this operation.
The Navajo Mine Railroad unit coal train, lead by E60C "LOE 33," approaches the generating station after a visit to the Navajo Coal Mine.
Out of view on the other end of the train is ALCo C425 "control cab" LOD-7.
When it sensed people's movements, it turned on a surveillance light and became as bright as daytime, so I had to shoot quickly.

On the return run to Dunedin I was in the third to last car and managed to get some exciting shots as the train made its way through the curves and tunnels of this picturesque rail line.
