Railings and steps at Symphony Hall.

Curved railing, skirt board and trim

One last picture from Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day, and it's That Bridge again... through some railings this time.

I say last, but there is another roll of film waiting to go for the C-41 treatment (chromogenic B&W) but it was very loosly rolled on the takeup spool and will surely be very badly fogged by light leaking in. The chances aren't good. (Update: the results were mixed; see my pinhole roll 1 tag.)

See where this picture was taken. [?]

This has got to be one of the most exquisite railings I have ever seen. Imagine trying to carve that piece of wood. THEN imagine trying to bend all of that iron to go underneath it. !!?!

These railings were erected to protect a tree at the top of Elbury Hill, but unfortunately the tree is long gone. Its companion suffered the same fate.

This is a detail of the railing. Originally I wanted to use per-manufactured railing, but it costs way too much! So, my designer (Dasha Treinis) came up with this coolest railing, using metal parts, usually sold for shelving construction. Very clever!

An unusual bridge railing on the orphaned segment of SR 37.

In our village are lots of interesting old houses. These railings just ask to be photographed.

There were no foundry marks apparent on these old railings which I would date to the 1930s. They are similar in style to ones previously seen made by WA Baker of Newport.
