Mack and I constructed this guitar rack from PVC pipe and self-adhesive insulating foam. We got the idea from Instructables.
Chromed steel rack. Supports the front fender and has an integrated light mount for the front light, which is powered off the hub. Also in this photo is the Ahearne/MAP handlebar.

The rear rack has an integrated u-lock holder. Notice the custom leather work on the u-lock shackle -- sewn by Dirt Jr..

At the wine tasting bar, they had a rack showing off all of the wines they offered. Quite impressive, no?
The rack is TIG welded stainless steel and has reclaimed cross-sawn hard maple slats. It features our custom-made rack ends and is sized to fit the bike.

Getting the bones in place. The hardest part is getting everything square. After that it's just cutting the rest of the pieces and brazing them on.
Many older neighborhoods still have secondary racks with spool insulators. This is a junction pole with them in Georgetown in Evesham built in the mid 1950s. Around 1960 secondary wires began to be twisted into a cable. The service drop lines here were replaced with twisted cables branching off on the left. Primary line Pole-top pin and insulator, suspension insulator for dead end. The street lights were replaced in this area a couple years ago with this type of fixture.
