The other day a photo of a rabbit whose most prominent feature, unsurprisingly, was a pair of long ears (translucent) appeared on Flickr, the work of a young woman I've gotten to know through our fairly regular comment exchanges. I saw THIS strange rabbit the very next day. The next photo adds a little to the mystery.

Any guesses or scientific explanation of what you're seeing? (See what Ellen Brown said, below.)

Thank you for stopping by. Your visit is as always much appreciated. Next time I'll get back to my normal subject matter, birds of the Windsor Park section of Charlotte NC, USA. Please stay safe and healthy.

No marks, except for the Kodacolor stamp on the back.

"get your stupid TV fixed." -buster

my TV hasn't worked in a year or so because 1) no antenna and 2) no remote control to change it to the VCR/DVD player.

so it's useless. but a nice photo prop!

Same as the green one on this picture, refolded with a square of duo paper, so one can fully appreciate the pattern on the top.

WIP - this one really needs some shadows, particularly in the last shot. I have an alternate version- with a sideways view- but while it might be more clear it's not necessarily as useful. We'll see, I guess.

From a fun tongue in cheek Easter shoot for use in stock images.

Rabbit ears TV.

It's my first FGR photo. :)

This is a very cute wig, but makes her look like a completely different character.

This is a modern mini-DV video transformed via various effects into the simulated look and feel of an old 1960s TV. As I approach 44, sometimes I miss the simplicity of non cable, non 500+ digital channels. Maybe I was waxing nostalgic for this when I dreamt it up.

The inspiration for this comes mainly from my childhood in the early 1970s when my family had a black and white TV with 2 sometimes 3 channels brought in over the air on antenna (what we called "rabbit ears").

At the Hotel Utah Saloon, San Francisco. Drinking beer, tequila and water by the pitcher. Mohamed Bacchus has the handle of Gunga Mo since he works for a water purification company.

Taffy was a good sport for a few seconds before running to her doghouse for escape. I stuck the bunny ears on her while she pouted.I rewarded her with a bone.

I do not think pink is her color

My first attempt at an HDR shot. What do you think?

Three shots, each two stops apart. It didn't turn out as bad as I expected (didn't use a tripod). You can see where I removed the PhotoMatix logo for the demo software in the upper-right corner.

This wasn't photo-shopped, I promise. It just happened, but it proves a theory I have about kid humor and rabbit ears.- its innate. So as a photographer, you sometimes just have to go with it.

My home studio is an empty bedroom of which sadly I have an abundance of these days. Knowing my love of photography and my eagerness to photograph my grand kids, my two daughters and my two daughter-in-laws have made it their practice to give me new backdrops, lights, & other miscellaneous camera stuff for birthdays, fathers days and Christmas. The stuff they give me generally coincides with ideas they gleaned from Pintrest or other social media sites. But their creative ideas are clearly my gain and I very much appreciate their love and thoughtful gifts. I thank my daughter-in-law Megan for this backdrop which she ordered from Ink & Elm. The model is Elise, the youngest of my eleven grand kids.

The biggest reason why we can't go back to cable tv : )
