Bought this lovely lady online for a fair price. I had to repair melting at her neck and legs. She has the nicest hair out of all the Quick Curl dolls I have. And she even got an outfit made for her shortly after she arrived!

Quick Auxerre 16/06/2017 10h32

As we speak (*November 2017) this Quick restaurant is still open and not yet transformed into a Burger King like roughly more than 145 restaurants in France (out of 405) have already undergone. Burger King has plans to open a restautant at another location in Auxerre which could indictate that their will be 2 Burger King restaurants in the end when this restaurant has got the sign 'Home of the Whopper' as well. As we speak (*November 2017) Quick has 257 restautants open in France, Burger King 180.

KFC has plans to open a restaurant on this commercial area as well.

just Quick shoot before we go :D

CVV Berkel - VV Be Quick '28 II

I was on a photo walk and nothing was working out very well. I was heading back to the car and saw this wall so I decided to grab a shot or two not really expecting it would amount to anything. As is often the case, the "throw away" shot of the day ended up being the keeper. That is what I love about photography: the shot you like can happen at ANY time.

I took a 3"x3" cartoon i drew in 1989 and added depth. Flawed but will do an improved version.

Quick Montélimar Sud 05/06/2017 10h06

I visited this place three year ago (Quick Montélimar Sud - 2014 when there were only rumours of Quick being taken over by Burger King. Now the rebranding of Quick in France is in full swing. As we speak (* June 2017) Quick has 287 restaurants open in France and Burger King 149. But the transformation is going fast. Montélimar is still a 'zero Whopper' city, but it will be very possible that this Quick restaurant will be transforemed in a 'Home of the Whopper'.

We were bored while waiting for the "Pity The Fool Alleycat" (a bike checkpoint race) to start because we were checkpointing outside the East Brunswick Club. It was a girls only race where they had to race in teams of two and there were something like 13 checkpoints spread out but since it was April Fools... only 4 of them were real checkpoints!

It was a really fun race.

We stood around for about thirty minutes waiting for someone to show up and then all of a sudden Logan sees an attractive woman walk past and hey presto, up comes the camera! haha!

Then not long after I took this shot a torrent of people started to appear out of nowhere! The first team to arrive had been really unlucky with four fake checkpoints and ours being the first real one! The next team had much more luck with only two fakes and one real one, ours being the second.

We had a total of ten teams show up and then it was time to head back to the finish line, so we jumped on our bikes and shot off to Pony Bikes in the city for the after party, barbecue, and the prize giveaways! Only 3 teams found all 4 checkpoints in time and completed the race.

1940s

Gnutti was one of the first manufacturers to license the patent from Campagnolo for the quick release and make their own branded version. Gnutti also made this same quick release for Huret with Huret Export Italy stamped on the lever. Gnutti made cambio corsa derailleurs that were almost identical to Campagnolo's design so it is likely that there was also an ongoing business relationship between the two Italian firms. Gnutti produced their own high quality hubs, headsets, bottom brackets and cranksets.

This crabapple tree was striking in how thickly laden it was with intensely cerise-coloured flower buds. They were on very short branches which gave the effect of the larger branches being closely 'coated' in colour. I was so surprised several days later to see that when the flowers were fully open, they were almost pure white.

I used the 'block stamping' technique for this set of cards.

I inked a rectangle acrylic block (for stamping) with Distress Ink, sprayed some water on top of the ink and stamped on a piece of watercolor paper. I used different colors for each print. Using a different amount of water gives a different outcome as well.

After stamping I attached the prints on a piece of blue/fuchsia vellum.

I headed over to pay a quick visit to Richland Creek, which had some nice fall colors. Richland Creek is a beautiful place, even when there isn't much water in the creek. It's one of the prettiest places in Arkansas - lots of boulders sticking out of the serene water. It's one of my favorite places to take pictures, but also one of my least favorite places to go hiking.

There aren't many trails along Richland Creek. The ones that are there tend to fade out and disappear. Add on a layer of fallen leaves covering up everything, and it makes finding your way a bit trickier. And the terrain is rough and unforgiving - I broke a tripod out there a few years back.

I set out from the campground (still closed), and made the crossing over Falling Water Creek. During my previous times out there, this crossing was a wet one. You can either wade the creek or carefully try to make your way across using rocks and tree limbs that are sticking out the water. But it was so dry that Falling Water Creek was nothing more than just a series of large puddles.

I got across and headed up the first big hill, and found the faint trail that runs above the creek. I followed where I could and eventually dropped down to the creek. I set up the tripod and got a few shots of the fall color reflected in the still waters of the creek...

Not sure what's happened to them since, but they were once a large dealer group which was set-up around 100 years ago. They sold a variety of makes including Rover, Ford, Vauxhall Citroen and Jaguar through dealerships in their own name as well as Godfrey Davis, Laidlaw and Moto Baldet.
