Question Mark photographed at Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge in South Kingstown, RI on 6 October 2019.

I spotted this question mark above the mountain ahead as we departed on our hike. What did it mean? Would we make it (there and/or back)? These thoughts occur to me now, thankfully not at the time. The hike did prove to be the hardest yet.

Photographed at the Lexington Wildlife Management Area, Oklahoma, on 12 May 2012.
