For 12 years New Hope Christian Church as presented the Journey to Bethlehem; a live outdoor nativity. This program reaches thousands of people from around the Southern Indiana region. This 45 minute program requires the participation of hundreds from the church and some help from other area churches as well.
I have now been three weeks without alcohol. Most days are good days but today has started off not so great. Not that anything bad as happened just one of those days that my mind races around a lot of different things. It seems like the two things I have been battling with the most is alcohol and my faith. My faith went out the window when I began drinking and I assumed when I stopped I could gain it back but instead I am left questioning it even more.

not one of my best days. got called for jury duty, went in, filled out the hardship form because I have a meeting next week for my visually impaiped daughters IEP (individualized educational plan), and my hardship was denied. They kept me for questioning and let me go when the clueless district attorney realized what visually impaired and IEP meant. But the damage had been done to my nerves. Here is a little snippet of the questioning...
Judge: Hello Ma'am. Are you alright?
Me: (crying but trying to be polite) Well, no actually, I am very upset. And quite honestly I am pretty sick and tired of crying in front of strangers, but it seems to be the position I am continually put in. I apologize for my tears.
Judge: I can see that the juror is very emotionally upset and crying, please record that. Are you crying becasue of your feelings as a juror?
Me: No, not at all. I am crying because I am having a lot of trouble with my daughters IEP, and as I wrote in my hardship form, next week is the meeting that will get her the help she needs, but if I am not released from jury service I will miss that meeting and more of my daughters education will suffer. That is why I am crying.
Judge: (looking at the DA) I think we can excuse the juror, don't you?
DA: ( Holding up my hardship form) Of course, I didn't know...
SERIOUSLY!!!!! I think I need less stress or more medication!
