This little jug got me a bit of a questioning of my good lady when I bought it. We were in a charity shop in Newcastle and she thought it was a tad odd that I just walked straight to the back of the shop picked this up and bought it. I was pretty certain that it is an Alan Brough piece. I am still 99% certain I just need to get it checked. Brough had his own pottery (Deacon pottery) making pieces for Harrods amongst others before going to work with Bernard Leach in St.Ives. After working for leach he set up again on his own in Newlyn. It's not mega valuable, if I were to sell it I would maybe get a pint or five out of it. Not the prettiest vase just nice to have and touch.

People are always questioning Guan Liang’s paintings: they look just like children’s work, why are they so valuable? Even some great writers applauded Guan Liang’s paintings, and some famous painters exchanged their works with him. The answer comes from the question itself. Guan Liang’s painting is valuable because it’s just like children’s work, with the innocent heart of an art addict.

If they could speak to us, what would they ask?

Questioning the opportunities of finding online big amounts of personal data, that for some people is a very bad PR

Questioningly raised my camera, got the go ahead, and he immediately posed as "cool guy looking into distance". Which reminds me of these ridiculous far-off gazes these guys with expensive cameras (and backwards lens hoods) were employing on some steps in Dresden. Off topic!

when Rhett first came home, he would often stare at the house. Considering this was a big move for our horses, being away from their usual stable area, I can see why the house seemed amazing to him. haha

This photo offers a curious view of the lamp which divides it in half, questioning the usefulness of it at all.

A narrow range of colors bore the picture to simplicity, but the bright white light of the lamp in a sea of darkness clearly separates it from the negative space.

The straight line the lamp and its reflection creates helps to divide the photo both vertically and horizontally. It also remains rigid in the frame, supplying its meaning to the scene, or at least that it holds some importance.

Again, the angle of the river supplies some sense of depth, as does the interposition of the trees and lamp, with the lamp hiding behind the trees. However, this idea is challenged by the confronting nature of the lamp as a bright figure among the dim ground.

The branches on the two trees offer diagonal lines whose intersection lies on the figure, creating graphic movement toward the figure.

Cognitively, and in a gestalt sense, the flooding river depicted challenges the necessity of the lamp, and brings to mind what pathways may lie beneath the tides. The lamp also suggests that people spend time at night here, but the water causes reconsideration of that plan. It's all a compilation of odd mixed messages.

"One day a young rebellious, known in the village by questioning everything, lived creating problems. Tired to hear recommendations on how it should be, appeared and asked me:

-I knew that the Lord is a wise. Since then answer me what is the meaning of life?

-One stone.

The young man was surprised with the response

Stone-like that? -Asked the young man.

Stone-what that means for you? -I asked

-Nothing.

-Sure, the grass you're treading, pra that serves?

-Leave the ground more fluffy? I don't know, but why all this?

-And the locusts, what are they for?

-Serve to spoil the planting our garden.

-Then, my son, the answer to your first question can only be within you.

-How so?

-The same way that the stone does not mean anything to you, you don't mean nothing to the dweller of the village nearby. Like the grasshopper spoils his vegetable garden, the world may find that you only serves to spoil it. Only you can give a meaning to their lives. Or else stay there stationary, that not one stone, where they see fit.

The young middle awkwardly thanked him and went away thoughtful. "

It is in those hours that I really descobro that reading is still the best medicine ...

Anguish is passing.

"There is No God." How often we hear it; how more often we see it being lived out.

But seldom do I hear what rationally should follow the statement above...that.."SInce there is no God, there is no good, and neither is there evil, for there cannot exist a standard to measure these, except by the intensity of pain or pleasure these 2 opposites [good and evil] exert on us. "

But as time runs out, perspectives change.

ARE WE STUDENTS HERE TO FALL PREY TO THESE .

G-4 HAWKS ?????? .

FRIENDS, The recent gruesome incidences involving the rude and barbarous behavior of G-4 security guards in the campus triggers a debate questioning their duty and putting a sheer blot on their character. Without qui bbling, their bossy rather irritating attitude has forced us to lead our life like a prisoner in our home without dignity. Please tum some recent logbooks of last one year. .

Scene 1: Mahi-Mandvi films show Actor: Mr. Cheema .

A nice movie is going on. Mr. "villain'' Cheema enters and time freezes abruptly. Chief Security Officer (CSO) of JNU is DRUNK. True to hi s spirits. He misbehaves with some students. Climax:: Around 300 students protest including President and Committee members lodging written complains against CSO with approval of the warden. Box office result:: No penalty imposed from Administration side SEEMS Mr. Cheema i's a HERO. He proclaims "MAl S TUDENTS KO INK! AUKATBATA DOONGA ''. .

Scene 2: : Godawari hostel Actor:: Again a G-4 personnel: Time is lonely but he keeps his senses busy in peeping into a Girl's bathroom. Climax: Oh! He is caught. Box office result: He faces only transfer that too somewhere in JNU. .

Scene 3: A 1nob scene at Ganga Dhaba Actors: Local outsiders creating havoc. Night is taking its outsiders. course. Girls of JNU are commented upon bv .

Climax: On routine basis stunt scenes and boxing services are also provided. Box office resu lt: G-4 guards are excellent spectators. Nothing official about it. Their indifference to students· cause shows their tagging with local outsiders. Why do'nt they dare to ask them for their !-Cards? the .

Scene 4: Somewhere in the carnpus Actor: A mood wanting to be high. A G-4 guard-sitting there to sell the narcotics. .

Climax: It is safe to get it from him. Box office Resu It: It is not anybody else but a G-4 guard vitiating the environment. .

In some instances o n d uty guards arc found sleepin g in hostels or watching TV. Phone receiver was sto len inspite of two guards posted in Na rmada hostel. Are they really doing duties or· just adding to their muscles by eatin g in our mess free of cost, that to beat students. Do you really feel being ecured? Most of th e guards a re posted to safeguard authorities a nd their belonging . \-Vhat happened when a girl stud ent was locked by G-4 in Tefl a's toilet? T hat gua rd was beaten up by the student. To add another Oscar to their Film Company, they keep encroaching the student's freedom by quoting that we are not allowed to roam around Paschimabad, PSR Or B&C grounds. Till date, the same Administration, whose conduct with the students found gui lty for even one degree has been harassing, failed to control the extremities of these Guards. The most recent notable event has seen a student manhandled brutally . W hat can you do w hen this army of criminals a£sault you crim ina lly at a deso late place? How can we avoid it? Simple answer~ just sticl.M. We hope that matter will be looked into and whosoever found gui lty should be punished. But the million dollar questions which stills strikes our nerves vehemently is that why Administration is acting in a biased manner ,and giving a protective shield to G-4 by turning a blind eye to their objectionable acts. Is it for the reasons that G-4 is also a part of the Administration? The time has come to think that who authori zed these G-4 bane) owls to humiliate us in our own loving Campus. Give it a thought and lend it to your voice. Thank You .
