Questioning the nature of the photographer's ability to push and pull their subjects into whoever they are needed to be- the total loss of self experienced by the subject of a piece of art.
Questioning the idea of performance art with the like of Marina Abromovic being 'present' within her work, this was my thought process of an artist being 'absent' by the idea of pixelation, distraction and manipulation. This lead to my FMP of an old lady being controlled via an earpiece linked to myself. I then placed the lady in my exhibition and she could only act or speak on my command. This was my main thesis of the idea of manipulation and the artist being present whilst still having soul control over the art.

The head of the WHO is being censored on China's internet after questioning the sustainability of the country's "zero-COVID" policy. The censorship on Weibo and WeChat, China's two largest social media platforms, targets WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus' comments that expressed rare disagreement with Beijing's policies. "When we talk about the zero-COVID strategy, we don't think that it is sustainable, considering the behavior of the virus now and what we anticipate in the future," Tedros told a media briefing Tuesday (May 10). "We have discussed this issue with Chinese experts and we indicated that the approach will not be sustainable…I think a shift will be very important," he said. The United Nation's official press account on China's Twitter-like Weibo posted Tedro's comments early on Wednesday (May 11) morning. By mid-morning, the post was no longer viewable on Weibo. A Weibo hashtag of Tedros' name has also been censored, with images featuring his face being scrubbed from the platform. On WeChat, an article from the UN's official account that included Tedros' comments has been "banned from sharing due to a violation of relevant laws and regulations" as of Wednesday morning. Video clips of Tedros' speech have also been removed from the platform. Tedros' comments, however, are in line with the assessment of most scientists.

Questioning the status of ordinary washing places, Caroline Jacob has shifted the usual location of the laundrette and will transform Mediamatic into a laundrette to present wASH. Preserving the social aspect of the laundrette, Monday Washday Laundrette is an opportunity to gather, try out wASH, as well as tell the stories emerging its creation. As an homage to the heirloom custom and the recipe embodied in the laundry detergent, visitors will be invited to wash their laundry in the space. The laundrette will open its doors every Monday and will be available for free use all day long. Visitors might become performers, clothes gesticulated, machines resonated.
After questioning the space taken up by a first aid kit, a combination of palisade fencing and a loose footing saw me patching up a pal. Still, at least he got a free tetanus shot for his troubles!
