Malaga Cove Plaza

Although the buildings around the Plaza look as if they have been here for ages, the individual buildings, designed by different architects, and erected at different times, have been here since the 50s and 60s.
The Neptune Fountain was erected in 1930. This is the back of the Malaga Bank building (Security First National Bank Building) designed by Carrington H. Lewis, completed in 1957.
Most photographs I see usually show the "plaza" side of the buildings, but I've always loved the "back end" here. If not for the air conditioner, this might be a print from a place a long way away and a long time ago.
RAT beach
Torrance/PVE, CA

The clouds were gloriously puffy over Harbor City, so I took a chance on going down to the beach on the other side of the Peninsula, Torrance Beach, and take some photos. The clouds were low in the sky and it was warmer along the waterfront. I captured some images at both Torrance and here at RAT Beach, then got some drone photos of the P.V. tree before heading home.
As usual I just don't snap away, but I look for "interesting angles" and try to get views I haven't already photographed a million times over the past 20 or so years. Here on the rocks is a little rock stack sculpture someone positioned, with a couple of pieces of driftwood on either side. The one on the right looks almost like a hand with a finger pointing to the sky. I wonder if that was intentional.

LF02 PVE is a Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini new to Arriva London North in August 2002 as their VLW61.
On disposal from London it joined the Travelmasters fleet in Sheerness, Kent before joining the McColl's of Dumbarton fleet. It is seen here on Byres Road in Glasgow whilst working a Glasgow Subway replacement service on behalf of Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT).
Doing Service 32 to Kilbirnie Milton Qurdrant this afternoon. And tomorrow will be last day for Double Decker doing 32 Service. Because the decker was put on 32 Service for new Garnock Camps School at Glengarnock last week. But the decker has been making a lost.
Stagecoach East Scotland Volvo B5LH/Alexander Dennis Enviro400 MMC 13048 (SSA 8X, SJ15 PVE) is seen here on Dundee's Commercial Street operating service 21 to Forfar.
It was new to the fleet in April 2015 for the Tayway service 73 (Arbroath-Dundee, Ninewells Hospital). The SSA 8X plate was originally on an Alexander Northern Alexander r type bodied-Leyland Olympian of 1981 vintage.
YP63 PVE is a Scania N230UD/AD Enviro 400 new to Stagecoach Western in December 2013 as their 15945.
It was new to Ardrosaan but also spent time at Glasgow and Ayr before returning to Ardrossan for North Ayrshire express services to/from Glasgow.
SA15 PVE is a Volvo B5LH/AD Enviro 400 MMC new to Stagecoach Fife as 13048 for their Strathtay fleet at Arbroath.
Seeing as there was literally nothing else to see on Sheppey (I mean literally nothing!!!), I called into Travelmasters just before a lot of the schools fleet left to get two more ex Arriva VLWs, VLW61 finished, and VLW59 well on its way.
