Bree sat in front of the now open time capsule, letter in hand and the puzzle box at her feet. "Halfway to light,
Halfway to dark,
Halfway to man,
Halfway to wolf,
At the Last Quarter tap me once, tap me twice,
At the Witching Hour, I shall shine my light.
Upon a stone Elk,
Rode by stone lady fair,
Might I reveal the key to opening my snare." she recited the inscribed riddle for the umpteenth time over the past week. "What does it mean, halfway to light and dark? Ugh!" the prefect exclaims, switching the letter for the box to examine. "Forget the firsties, YOU will be the end of my sanity!"
Vibrant geometric shapes are the focal point, set against a backdrop with a textured appearance and a mix of warm and cool tones. Splashes of light, resembling speckled stars or glitter, create a dynamic contrast across the composition.

opening the lament configuration, the regal decorated puzzle box opens a bridge straight to Hell and summons the cenobites.
theme given was numbers, subtheme 6, I chose to interpret that as a cube from which I derived the puzzlebox.
The stand is more of an abstract take on it based on the Bishoujo statue version.
I do not recommend looking up references, they can be gory, also intended to add some of that but run out of time to figure out how without making it tasteless and tacky.

William Gillette had a custom wooden liquor cabinet that was a puzzle box only he could open. It used magnets and mechanics and secret triggers to keep guests from raiding it.
At Gillette Castle in East Haddam, CT.
Family will be arriving for the holidays. The puzzle is awaiting for assembling with the family. How rewarding to find a piece that fits! It's a time to be together and enjoy each other's company. Good conversations flow freely around the puzzle table. The border is DONE but there is a lot of nature, snow, nighttime sky, and a brightly lit church to fit together. Our oldest son sent this an early Christmas present. He says the church reminds him of the one his great-grandmother attended in Wilkes-Barre, PA!

Built for RogueBrick's 101 bricks or less challenge, this week's theme: "Hidden"
I thought this was also so much fun to play with I made instructions - for $1 each (yes I had so much fun I designed a second one!) - 100% proceeds goes to RebelLUG :)

The box is the puzzle, and the puzzle is the box. Opening the box takes a series of 'moves' (like sliding a panel) executed in the correct order. Simple boxes take a few moves; complicated ones take dozens of moves.
The patterns and designs on the exterior of the box are usually very intricate. This is a macro of the top of the box with the area shown roughly 2" x 1.5" (5cm x 4cm), straight out of the camera.

Brianna looked over her shoulder, glancing between the members of the group before she returned her sight to the puzzle box. "I'm going to start arranging the words. Are we good with 'Help is always available at Hogwarts for those who ask for it'?" Bree asked, pulling out the piece with the name of the school on it.
Marigold looks over the owls in all their cubbies and then steps over to pet Tootsie and give him an owl treat "Yeah its the most logical sentence with those words"
Demian gave a smile to all the owls. "Hallo little birdies," he calls out. He was a little daft when it came to animals. He just assumes they all like him, even hissing ones. He gives a nod to Brianna that he's onboard with it. "You go girl," he grins. "Anything you need me to do?" He starts to do his pacing thing. The one that's like a caged tiger. Left to right to left he goes.
Jamie nodded slightly. "Yeah, that would make sense with these words." They pause and then grin. "I remember that Vicky said something like that before in class... Imagine him quoting Merlin. Wicked. And bloody ancient."
Riven gave Bree a slight nod and replied, "makes sense, yeah?" She slowly reached over and pulled her wand from her sleeve. She had no idea what to expect and wasn't about to get caught unprepared.
Reese stood up on her tiptoes and nodded quickly to Bree, "Yeah, uhuh, sounds the most right, anyways!" She then very quickly crossed her fingers in hope. Hearing Jamie, she piped up with a giggling, "Vik is so olde he probably /knew/ Merlin."
Brianna Malcolm slid the 'Hogwarts' tile into place, quickly moving and arranging ten of the eleven others to form the phrase. "Uh...have your wand at the ready, Katzen. All of you actually. Who knows what will happen when I put this last piece in." she requested of everyone, dropping the final piece baring 'it' into place, shifting the box to her other hand so that she too could have her wand available. "Help is always available at Hogwarts for those who ask for it." Bree repeated the phrase, taking a small step toward the window.
As Brianna moved the pieces into place, each one let a soft chime leave them, before when she spoke the words aloud the Puzzlebox /shook/, a soft clapping noise filling the air, almost drowned out by the gentlest of chimes that rang from the Puzzlebox.
The room darkened softly, Professor Blightly stepping forwards to watch before the window of the Owlery once more shifted, until it turned into what looked like a full-bodied visage of the Wizard Merlin, a grin upon his face as he clapped for the students.
"Very well done!"

Hellraiser has always been one of my favorite horror movies–and as some of you might know pinhead is actually my stand-in when i setup lighting so you are fully aware of my affinity for this movie

If you have ever played the online mystery game “The Room” you know that the game involves beautiful and complex puzzle boxes that contain marvellous moving parts and multiple clues. I wanted to create a similar box out of LEGO but that also included a Harry Potter magical bent. This is the result, my Magical Creatures Musical Puzzle Box. I drew inspiration from many sources for this puzzle/music box. The general themes are the magical creatures from Harry Potter with kinetic puzzles that refer to puzzles/mysteries in the first and last of the Harry Potter novels. Each side of the box has a unique function those being:
Side 1 A combination safe whose mechanism is borrowed from MocBuild101. The combination can be discerned from clues on this side of the box. The safe contains items from the four founders of Hogwarts and a couple of horcruxes.
Side 2 A hidden drawer with key card mechanism contains the Deathly Hallows. This side also contains the mechanism for music box function with rotating magical creatures.
Side 3 A sliding puzzle inspired from one created by “Mahj” that also hides the winged keys room and potions puzzle from the first novel. The Deathly Hallows symbol artwork is from AnoraMakani.
Side 4 The Devil’s Snare Room moving parts are inspired from LEGO’s Doctor Strange set and Jason Allemann aka JK BrickWorks “Inside the Mind of A LEGO Engineer”.
Each corner of the box can open to reveal more magical creatures. The top of the box has four magical creatures that rotate when the music plays.
The box was built with almost all LEGO parts except a Brick Forge Centaur lower part and torch and three Brick Forge potion bottles, a Brick Warriors Elder Wand and of course the “Hedwig’s Theme” music box. Unfortunately one LEGO piece, the spiral horn, was harmed to make unicorn and I painted an umbrella pink and Moaning Myrtle’s hair. Some custom stickers were added as well.

Pinhead's appearance in 1987's Hellraiser marked a significant departure from the standard 1980s depiction of horror film villains, who tended to either be completely mute, or provide glib commentary while killing their victims. Rather, Pinhead was depicted as quiet yet articulate and intelligent, drawing influence from classical cinematic depictions of Count Dracula.

C240 belongs to a serie of carbon molecules known together as Fullerenes. The first Fullerene, C60, was discovered in 1985 by Sir Harold W. Kroto of the UK and by Richard E. Smalley and Robert F. Curl, Jr., of the USA. In 1996 the trio was awarded the Nobel Prize for their discovery and their pioneering research on these chemical series.
You can build this model using the Zome Megatube kit.
This is my most updated version of Puh’zol, the Imprisoned one. I revised the design to make the arms more poseable and the cube encasing the body more reminiscent of a puzzle box. I recreated it in BrickLink Stud.io with detailed instructions in the style of an official LEGO set, and ordered the parts to give as a gift to my friend. I wanted to create a similar box out of LEGO but that also included a Harry Potter magical bent. This is the result, my Magical Creatures Musical Puzzle Box. I drew inspiration from many sources for this puzzle/music box. As with other structures in the castle, the cabinet is built like a puzzle box. When the cabinet was locked, only William Gillette knew the trick to open it, to the chagrin of his guests.
