We were effectively snowed in today - the road out of the village is on a slope, The snow quickly packed down and became extremely slippy at which point it's hard going for anything except for 4x4s and tractors. Most of the villagers knew better than to go out - they stayed at home. The workmen who were working at the house over the road called it a day at about lunchtime and decided to leave - we helped push a couple of them up the hill and they just about made it. The next few vehicles weren't so lucky and were eventually hauled up to the top by tractor.
