Playing around with the Canon 500D diopter again, pushing the limits of its capability. It is mounted here on the front of a Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8vr lens along with the TC-17E II teleconvertor at the back. The effective focal length is thus 340mm at the long end. Total magnification is pretty good, but not quite macro (1:1 subject to image ratio). Shallow depth of field even at f/16 yields a pleasing background blur.
