There are two major changes visible in this screenshot compared to the earlier ones.
First off are the steep slopes on the hills. They are now automatically rendered with a cliff-texture.
Secondly, the skybox. This screenshot is not really perfect for showing off the skybox, but its there and its beautifully enclosing the world with lovely clouds.
Other than that I've added some mipmapping on the terrain textures, and there's some antialliasing to save us from those jagged edges.
My next idea for the terrain is to make certain parts (the cliff and the sand parts is what I had in mind) of the terrain slightly bump mapped OR even try some parallax occlusion mapping. However such an addition isn't really important, as there are other things to focus on rather than pure visuals...but it would undoubtedly be nice. I think you would all agree that the cliffs look kind of flat!

Paul SĆ©rusierās Les Laveuses Ć la LaĆÆta (1892) is a quiet marvel of Symbolist landscape painting, and Iāve found several images of it for you.
This oil on canvas, now in the MusĆ©e d'Orsay, depicts two Breton women carrying freshly washed linens from the banks of the LaĆÆta River near Le Pouldu. But SĆ©rusier wasnāt just documenting rural lifeāhe was distilling it into pure visual poetry. The composition is horizontal and meditative, with simplified forms and a muted palette that evoke serenity and timelessness.
SĆ©rusier, a founding member of the Nabis, was deeply influenced by Gauguinās teachings in Pont-Aven. You can see that influence here: the flattened perspective, the rhythmic arrangement of trees, and the symbolic use of color all reflect a move away from naturalism toward inner vision.

I am fascinated by the tonal value of color, rough versus smooth, structure versus chaos. Some of my work emphasizes one of these different approaches while some integrates these ideas. My designs are never predetermined, they develop as I go. I work in a deliberate and thoughtful matter until the design problem resolves in a sudden insight.
RenĆ©e was born in Albuquerque, and grew up in California. She received her art degree from San Jose State University and has done post-graduate work at the University of New Mexico, studying non-silver photography. In 1994 when her youngest child started kindergarten RenĆ©e then found the time to start doing art again. She dyes and paints all her fabric, working with cotton and silk. And then transforms her fabric into vibrant fiber constructions and collages that have been described as āpure visual joyā.
Reneeās work is included in the New Mexico Capitol Art Collection, Harwood Museum, Taos, NM, State of New Mexico, Bernalillo County, (NM) and the Fisherville, VA Medical Center, and Sage College, Albany NY.
One of her quilts is currently on display at the American Embassy in Laos.

The New Mexico State Capitol and its Capitol Art Collection
Today's New Mexico State Capitol, known as the Roundhouse, is the only round capitol building in the country. It was built by Robert E. McKee with a design by W.C. Kruger that combined elements of New Mexico Territorial style, Pueblo adobe architecture and Greek Revival adaptations. The 232,000 square-foot Roundhouse was dedicated on Dec. 8, 1966.

The New Mexico Capitol Art Collection offers a unique and often overlooked experience. Unlike the overwhelming array of art scattered across the city, this collection provides an easily accessible, free, and comprehensive showcase of contemporary art. The New Mexico Capitol Art Collection is not just a static display but an evolving exhibition. From a bird's-eye view, the Roundhouse resembles the Zia sun symbol, which is also emblazoned on the New Mexico state flag. The image, which originated at Zia Pueblo, incorporates elements representing the sun's rays, the four directions, the four seasons, and the four phases of life. The State Seal of New Mexico, carved in stone, hangs above each of the Roundhouse's four entrance wings.
The four-story Roundhouse includes a subterranean story and a central interior Rotunda that rises 60 feet through the top three stories. The Rotunda's design elements include New Mexico Travertine marble featuring a turquoise and brass mosaic depicting the New Mexico State Seal. The ceiling skylight of stained glass is patterned after a Native American basket weave symbolizing the sky and the earth.
The New Mexico Capitol Art Collection was created in 1991 when the New Mexico Legislature founded the Capitol Art Foundation. The Collection consists of nearly 600 artworks, exhibited in the interior public spaces of the State Capitol Complex, as well as on the Capitol grounds. The Collection includes paintings, photography, works on paper, sculpture, mixed media, textiles, ceramic and glass works, as well as furniture. In all there are over 600 New Mexico artists represented.
The Clay Buchanan Memorial Gardens on the Roundhouse's 6.5 acre grounds display sequoias, Russian olive trees, roses and more than 100 other kinds of New Mexico flora as well as abstract and figurative sculptures from the Capitol Art Collection.
