Punta Galera is a rocky (and at times, nudist) beach. This location felt like a furnace.

One of the many epic sunrises taken from Bávaro beach in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic in the past 12 days. The wifi at our resort blocked uploads to Flickr, so get ready for a barrage of photos, now that I'm home. Over 5000 pics to sort through.

In the northwest of tenerife the Teno mountains drop steeply into the atlantic ocean, except for one small region that is rather flat. That region is called Punta de Teno and it is only reached by driving (against all warning signs) on a landslide and rock fall endangered road for several kilometers. People who have taken that risk are rewarded with a spectacular scenery offering rough beaches, menacing mountain faces and a light house. The picture above points to the south east. Following the coastline past the cliffs, you can see the village of "Los Gigantos".
A couple looking at the sea in the Punta del Este, where for legal Argentines and Uruguayans purposes ends Plata River and the Atlantic Ocean begins.
For the water salinity, internationally considered ocean from the east of Montevideo.
This is one of the highest spots in Sardinia. From Punta Salinas you get this amazing view over Cala Goloritze and Punta Caroddi
