This is a shot of a piece of ruins, of what used to be a cat kennels business. Friends of ours used to stay on a smallholding outside the town, and these fascinating ruins were on their property.

I decided to re-edit and resize this photo of the famous Punch Bowl Falls I took in 2015.

The falls are located in the Columbia River Gorge, Oregon along Eagle Creek. The area was devastated by the 2017 Eagle Creek Fire which burned around 49,000 acres.

Like a fist punching threw the air this one cloud darted out making it the main subject. Combining it with the mountain tops that were receiving the last of the evening light, and the image came into balance.

It was a cloudy morning with wet clouds moving about. Rain showers and sunbeams were the order of the morning. Here the sun punches through the clouds, landing a massive sunbeam on the western slope of Bright Angel Canyon.

It's easy to guess why this dog was named "Punch" by his owner 🤔

Major and I hiked a couple of waterfall trails in the Columbia Gorge. This was one of our destinations, very popular, a lot of people there and swimming up to the falls. We hung out a few hours waiting for the sun to shade the gorge a bit, and it really cleared out for about 15 min. Enough to capture it with no people before the next wave of hikers showed up.
