This is not a very good picture, but I'll tell you why it is a good picture to me. As a parent I like to see the things I recognize in my children. What you see here is my daughter Tessel concentrated working in a basement of the Inglewood School in Grand Bay, a room filled with children. I know how she's in her own little world figuring out how her pumpkin is going to look like. I love it to see her like that.
My camera had a hard time with the darkness in the room and it took me about 14 shots before I had the correct settings. Every other parent just used their Android or iPhone devices which would have solved the problem for the owner. That one parent that was leaning over with a Canon camera to snap the special picture ... erm well that would have been me

Sadly the next day our pumpkins suffered the terrible misfortune of ant invasion :(

I hate how my camera works at night without flash !
Anyone with a Canon (rebel) have any tips on taking pictures at night? I simply cannot figure out a setting that works well :(
