This Palatine resident had 4 ejector pumps in his house running non-stop throughout the night and still ended up with 18" of water in his basement. In the foreground we see a bench, the water was up to the top of it. The property next to the house is usually free space but now holds approximately water that is 5-6' deep.

Pumps furiously pumped water back toward the river and away from the residents as the flood waters crested on Friday
"The Pump" is a great little bar/restaurant in Stanford, Montana, about 60 miles east of Great Falls. As promised, there is indeed a pump attached to the bar - along with a nifty "dinner bell"-style triangle, which I rang!
Few years back Geoff the owner bought a pump but without the stand the same as the 'Voco' pump shown in the photo. When he was cleaning it, he came across the serial number on the front. As he had another one [captured in the photo above], he wondered what number that was and was amazed on cleaning the front, it was found to be Number 01!! These are made in France. The photos don't do it justice. Totally mind blowing collection of one man - Geoff Ernst. I cannot stress how much you should go see this.
We spent 3 hours here and Geoff and his friendly volunteer helper Layton are just a delight.
