Hand Pumper built in 1848 by the L. Button Company of Waterford, NY and delivered by way of the Erie Canal in December of 1848 to Fort Wayne. First operated by the Germania Fire Company. Wisboomgemaal - Wisboom Pumping Station, Kinderdijk. Electric water pumping machinery. Dating back to 1868, the Wisboom pumping station was originally operated with a steam engine until it was converted to electric power in 1924. Decomissioned in 1996.
