This water pump was part of the old irrigation system in the cemetery (it is no longer in use). It was manufactured in Seneca Falls, New York, where Sondra and I went on our honeymoon (http://foxyurl.com/QPH)
An open day in 2013 at the Crossness Pumping Station on the river Thams between Thamesmead on the south eastern borders of London and Abbey Wood and Erith in Kent.
Given its purpose - to pump away London's sewage, using massive beam engines - the ornateness of the interior of this Victorian era building is a real surprise.
