From 1938 to the 1950's Bloomingdale Michigan had producing oil wells. This pump is part of the Bloomingdale Depot Museum display. Oil speculation was high in the surrounding areas during that time also and even my folks leased the oil rights of their land to an oil company.
I saw many of these pumping trucks at work in the CBD yesterday removing all the water from flooded basements and car-parks , this pumping out will go on for a number of days to come .

This is some sort of abandoned pumping station near Eagle Creek in Indianapolis. I shot this with exposures ranging from 30 seconds to 1/30 to create this HDR image.
Raw files were processed to 16-bit TIF files using Bibble 5 (preview), and the HDR was created with the trial version of Photomatix.
